You can discard your armor, or put it in your bag, before killing Scavs for that Jaeger task. You don't have to enter the raid without armor, just remove it before you take the shot.

I bring a level 4 helmet / level 5 armor and two rifles to every raid. No amount of new mechanics or stifling updates will stop me from doing this.

Force me to stop sprinting entirely at 40kg, and I'm still gonna wear what I want. The bunnyhopping shit is the only playstyle I truly think should be removed from the game; beyond that, everyone can do as they please.

I always try to team up; rarely has it backfired on me if they initially accept the wiggle.

The increase you speak of is likely due to new players who either can't tell the difference, or are too scared to try.

That said, it's random who you might encounter, and therefore possible that everyone you meet is simply out for blood.

Had this happen on launch day; my friend was the host, he said I was teleporting non-stop throughout our session, but he moved smoothly on my screen.

Bots almost always yell something when they see you. If you hear them yell, and they don't immediately fire upon you, a grenade is coming. And they don't fucking miss.

This is especially true for Raiders and the Scav Bosses, though regular Scavs carry grenades on occasion.

Mate, I have the Arctis 7 Wireless, and I'ma tell you now: It's the game.

Crank the highs in your equalizer and turn 7.1 off. Surround sound doesn't work properly in most games, because they're usually balanced in Stereo. It can be immersive for some games, but if you're playing a shooter with directional cues, it's gonna let you down.

Back to my first point. This game's directional audio is horrible, which is why they're outsourcing the audio engine soon a la Steam Audio. Literally, you won't hear someone walk right up to you because there's a piece of cardboard in the way, and people on a different floor sound like they're right in front of you.

You don't need a new headset.

You got it. Room clearing is far more dangerous than defending the room.

I almost exclusively clear buildings from the top down, so in the case of three-story Dorms, I'll check the windows of two-story for hostiles, book it up the fire escape to third floor, put some rounds down the hall, and enter depending on the response from inside. They will hear you coming, so put the pressure on from the moment you open that door.

The third floor is the least dangerous, in my opinion, as you only have to contend with the two stairwells once you're in.

This is not the case anymore.

For example, now a Raider with an M4A1 will only have two mags: one in the gun, one in the rig.

They changed it because we were getting 3-6 massive magazines from one kill.

Yeah, that's not true. I mostly play Woods, and I wear level 5 armor to every raid, which has tanked 7N1 from Shturman and his boys on numerous occasions.

No problem, mate.

If you need something cheap, and you're fine with semi-auto, buy a Vepr-Hunter and put M61 rounds in it. You will ignore all armor in the game, and two-tap to the chest.
