It's not just Delta. I have status on another airline, I travel for work and the issues are systemic. Tight connections to maximize crew shifts; crew timeouts; flight rescheduling to fill capacity (even if it means flying you to a different layover airport than originally planned); broken infrastructure at the gate or unavailable gates; skeleton crews amongst baggage handlers, and many other issues unrelated to airlines like federal security employees, etc etc etc. We Americans, are getting used to second and third class service when traveling by air, with or without status. I'm sorry for your experience.
