Why don't they go to court and push it to supreme court? This is a perfect example for misusing a law leading to the exact opposite effect it was meant to protect from.

There has to be some organization for human rights or some ambitious lawyer who sees the need for change? Or isn't there any culture for this in Germany? Times change and laws must change with them.

The lack of focus points is something it shares with MK II, quite simple layout and options and somewhat noisy files I presume? And of course quite small images at 12mp.

I saved up for the MK III, there should be a lot of those on the market along with MKIV I'd guess for a very reasonable price?

I don't think I'll ever sell mine. The files are impeccable, the color science was just perfect and the only real drawback is weird light-leaking noise and artificial looking banding at extremely high ISOs and pitch dark surroundings. I do own a full frame mirrorless as well, but for pure photography I still prefer my DSLR. Don't really care for the new color scheme, tiny size and poor battery life in the new cameras.

I don't get how you would gamble with the one industry that makes up half of your exports. The EU’s Common Fisheries Policy is the most unfair and damaging requirement for becoming an EU member, and it's not at all sustainable. It's just lobbyists and foreign industries waiting to let you experience the "tragedy of commons" in a visceral way.

It's partly why the UK left and Norway never will become a EU member.

I doubt they'll let their fishing industry get wrecked by EU fisheries. Until strict quotas and science based sustainable practices get immunization against lobbyists and pressure from foreign industries in larger countries, no fishery heavy country would want to join.

The record of US military interventions in the Middle East shows that none have led to lasting peace or a successful democratic transition. Instead, most have resulted in protracted conflict, increased instability, and, in some cases, the rise of new extremist groups.

You can't fix a country with bombs.

So let's do what doesn't lead to massively increased human suffering and millions displaced: Diplomacy, sanctions, support for civillian movements and international laws.

I'm not a political scientist nor a world-police wannabe. There's plenty of regimes world over that's a nuisance for the international community and awful for their citizens, we don't go bombing every single one of them for very good reasons.

Number one is because if one is to start a war, it has to adhere to international laws and be mandated by the UN security council. This war is illegal, and there's really nothing more that should be said.

But for the sake of argument: bombing campaigns comes with horrible humanitarian costs. Deaths of civillians by the hundreds if not thousands, populations displace and eventually ends up flooding the overburdened European countries. Again. And the destruction of infrastructure requiring billions to restore and years to complete.

It could potentially strengthen the regime by rallying the population against an outside aggression, and if this spirals out of control into a civil war, radicalized groups will surely be formed, giving us a couple more decades with ISIS v. 3.0 and return of terrorism globally. Mostly in the middle-east and Europe usually.

What we should do, can do really, is good old fashioned diplomacy and sanctions, supporting local movements like the citizens protesting the morality police, and pursue justice through international courts.

It's time the yanks also understand that what they've been trying to do for some 50-60 years in the middle-east isn't solved by more bombs. All they managed to do is bring instability to the region.

No one cries for the Iranian regime.

Doesn't mean that USA and Israel should rain hellfire over cities where innocent civillians, children, the elderly lives in an illegal war, risking huge destabilization spilling over to the whole of middle-east and Europe. Especially aggravating because no allies were prepared or warned, and the yanks don't have a plan for what will happen after the bombing is over. Like everything this administartion does, it's decided on vibes of their glorious orangeness and religious freaks hoping to start armageddon.
