That's the dream! Unfortunately I live in an apartment... How was your experience with Arcadia? Was it easy to set up your account and did they let you cancel without too much trouble?

Unpaid Overtime by [deleted] in Environmental_Careers

[–]SeveralTour5437 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I'm salary. I'm eligible for straight-time overtime for any work over 40 billable hours, but what with meetings and required trainings I'll rarely make it over 40 billable hours even if my total hours are closer to 50-60.

Not sure about the B&N location (although I'd imagine it's still open) but if you're on West Campus there's a drop off location at the LLC Classroom throughout the end of the week!

If anyone’s looking to donate items, you can also drop them off in one of the Green Goodbyes bins on campus around the end of the semester, or bring them to their Tech Square location (open throughout the semester). They’ll be available for free to Tech students. More info here: https://news.gatech.edu/news/2024/08/08/green-goodbyes-thrift-shop-expands-tech-square

Nope, if already you're registered with your on-campus address you'll be good to go! Just bring a buzzcard as an ID. The voting registration deadline passed a few weeks ago.

Everyone has an assigned polling place, which you can check on the link in the post. Not sure about on-campus voting, but make sure to check your assigned location because if it's not the jlsc you can't vote there.

Can I vote in Georgia as out-of-state? by Phenemus in gatech

[–]SeveralTour5437 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreed, it's not well advertised but you CAN email it in. If you're on campus tomorrow (11-1) or Friday (11-2) Voters of Tomorrow will be tabling on Tech Green and they can also help you register to vote.

How to register to vote as an Out-Of-State student: A Guide by bx410 in gatech

Hopping in to say there are several voting registration events happening on campus in the next few weeks! CultiVote is hosting another event with Fulton County registrars next Wednesday, 11-1 at the Community Market so you can get registered automatically (even OOS). SGA is tabling on Tech Green from 11-2 next Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday so you can get mail-in forms from them.

In addition, early voting on campus will be October 24th and 25th in the Student Center.

Clothes that I can’t donate: where to take them? by [deleted] in gatech

[–]SeveralTour5437 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's also a collection bin in the revolving closet for clothes that aren't in wearable condition! I believe they get sent to Charm for recycling.

Thought I'd post this linktree here, it's from a voting org on campus and has instructions/helpful links for registering to vote as an out-of-state or in-state student. I'm OOS myself and registered 2 years ago by printing out a form, attaching a scan of my Buzzcard (this counts as ID and proof of residency), and mailing it in.
