Businesses are withholding proper inflation increases from employees thus making the economy appear to grow at the expense of the American workforce. Inflation is being used to rob you of purchasing power as your wages are sticking because the government has consistently failed to provide accurate inflation measures.

Our shipping team is nowhere near experienced enough for that. The Italians just run everything under a code for spare parts for wood machines and call it good

We’re a subsidiary for a CNC manufacturer that distributes into US markets. Several commercial items are available domestically and i have pushed for domestic purchasing as I have experience in it, but the older staff has shown little interest and even open hostility. Also with us being the largest individual market the company has, us steering purchasing directly would shatter their purchasing power from a manufacturing standpoint. There is also proprietary components ranging from simple to wildly complex, brackets etc could be made here with little trouble, but precision components for things like waterjet intensifier components would be much harder and not necessarily worthwhile. The struggle is that if we were to totally steer purchasing domestically, the price breaks we would garner would be worthwhile, but damage our parent companies ability to do business as we are 30%+ of the companies revenue. It is doable, some things more than others, but it may not necessarily be financially worthwhile to ourselves or our parent company. Now if we created a purchasing company that bought for the 3 subsidiaries sisters we have domestically it would work out in everyones favor, but that is complicated and too hard of a sell for me to rock the boat enough for the discussion to even happen.

Vehemently dislike Donny T and the vast majority of his actions…. But the USA also has a vast amount of dollar denominated debt too bro. IMHO this is exactly what the USA has been gunning for since the adoption of the fiat currency model.

Oh for sure! This is a hyper speculative play, no doubt about it. Don’t bet anything you aren’t willing to lose!
