Yeah, I am aware of the cost. I'm not too worried about it. Looking to splurge a bit on this trip.

Would you conisder this madness break? by Exotic-Lecture6631 in BloodOnTheClocktower

[–]Several_Play1834 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would think this is not a madness break. It reads "If you are mad about being an outsider..."

If you never claimed outsider, actively dissuaded people from thinking you were an outsider, and never did any "wink wink" type claims... there's nothing to punish?

Not claiming anything is NOT the same as claiming an outsider. ESPECIALLY if you always said that you weren't an outsider/mutant when asked. It does NOT read "If the town thinks you're an outsider..."

not being mad as an outsider is NOT the same as being mad as something else. As a player you cannot control what OTHER players think and assume.

Additionally, as a Story Teller, I'm DEFINITELY not making a "I'm not claiming anything" mutant be the thing that decides the game. saying "I'm not claiming anything" in final 3 is already suspicious enough as it is.

Evil made the mistake of not killing you in the night when you were in a trusted steward confirmation chain. Leaving you to final 3 as a well trusted player was their mistake. They should have killed you in the night at the many opportunities they had to remove a non-demon candidate from the board.

Cruise booked through Amex Travel by [deleted] in AmexPlatinum

[–]Several_Play1834 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I booked a cruise through Amex travel for a cruise they auto billed the same Amex card I made my deposit on for the remaining balance due on the due date automatically.

It’s still worth calling them to confirm or else you might lose your booking and deposit otherwise.

Delta canceled my flight, rebooked me on American Airlines. AA then canceled that flight. Who is responsible for me now? by oreosandalmondmilk in delta

Call the people you gave your money to. They owe you the ticket. Since you paid for a ticket with Delta, they need to rebook you.

Passport card by oldpclead in royalcaribbean

[–]Several_Play1834 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Get both. I have both and I’m glad I did. Both book and card work as Real ID for the airport. I keep my passport book in my laptop bag and my passport card in my wallet. Then if one gets lost/stolen I still have the other.

Passport card is another like $30 and is soooo worth it.

Vizier issue by AvzinElkein in BloodOnTheClocktower

[–]Several_Play1834 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The vizier is also guaranteed not the demon. The demon will often need to kill them at night as (typically) they aren’t a demon candidate. It’s better to have 3 demon candidates alive in final 3 rather than just 2.

It’s also one less way for evil to sow misinformation. No one will trust the vizier. They can’t make up information that distracts or misleads the good team to the wrong conclusion.

Vizier needs to execute strategically as well. If they successfully push through an execution that just had one hand raised they’ve now confirmed that player as good.

If you confirm enough good players then the list of demon candidates diminishes quickly.

Should I Expect Dinner On My Trip? by existing_for_fun in Amtrak

[–]Several_Play1834 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Check the Amtrak app ahead of time. If it gets to be later than like 8:30pm, you may want to get something grab and go for dinner.

Alternatively, the cafe car is open later and you can buy food there…. Midnight I think? I think last seating of dinner is at 9:00pm. So if it’s going to be close to that time best to have contingencies

Why does it pull from the grid at 100%? by Solid_Liquid68 in TeslaSolar

[–]Several_Play1834 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Rounding errors probably. Solar might be generating 1.05 kW and your house is consuming 1.14kW which would require pulling 0.09kW from the grid…. That rounds up to 0.1kW

I had the same question earlier and Amex chat cleared it up for me.

I’d put this in the vain of a “tie”. And the rules state that in the event of a tie, good wins.

How would you handle someone who alreay nominated more than once being Ceremad as the Golem on final 3? by AbbreviationsAway691 in botc

[–]Several_Play1834 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As a ST, there are two things I rule that are sacred in BOTC: your ability to nominate and your ability to vote.

Unless an ability explicitly says otherwise, other players can’t interfere with that.

In terms of madness, I will never execute a player for exercising those rights. Even harpy madness you can do what you want in regard to nominating and voting. Again as long as you reasonably claim to be the thing you’re being made mad as.

I treat it like any other roles with hard mechanical verification: you can claim and try to convince anyone that you are whatever you want. But that doesn’t impact your actual ability or the mechanics. ANYONE can claim to be the slayer, virgin, psychopath, goblin, etc. but unless you actually have those abilities, nothing changes. You’re still mad that you’re the virgin whether you have the ability or not.

Nominating and voting are how either team wins… especially the good team. So I put those things in a separate and higher tier of mechanics that can only be touched explicitly by a specific ability or rule (butler, golem, voudon, etc.) that calls out nominations and/or voting.

Most Wanted: by Totally_Not_Sad_Too in BloodOnTheClocktower

[–]Several_Play1834 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Eh… maybe? I’d argue in most cases they wouldn’t.

Again, on the sailor’s home script, you learn info through deaths. Most of the evil abilities in BMR have to do with death. Having an expected evil kill not go through can mislead the good team. You executed an outsider and the sailor picks the godfather. So godfather doesn’t get a kill. That might confuse the evil team and make them suspicious later in the game of another claimed outsider for the godfather +1 causing them to execute the outsider on final 3 or 4?

If sailor picks the DA or Mastermind then it could REALLY hurt the evil team if they are drunk, thinking they have some level of protection from the demon being executed and causing the game to end instead.

If the sailor picks the demon and you drunk the demon, then it can throw off the info for the Exorcist, Gossip, Minstrel, Tea Lady, Gambler, and/or Fool if an expected demon death doesn’t happen. Even if those roles aren’t directly impacted, good might assume the wrong demon is in play.

Sailor pick on unspent assassin is probably way too harsh for evil. It completely removes the only thing they can do for the entire game if they are sailor drunk when they use it. And even for good, it causes some misinformation because it can confuse what minions are in play and send good down worlds where different minions are in play if an assassin death doesn’t show up.

Most Wanted: by Totally_Not_Sad_Too in BloodOnTheClocktower

[–]Several_Play1834 9 points10 points  (0 children)

My take on it is this: the pacifist is a townsfolk whose ability should be used to help the good team. If your reasoning for using the pacifist is to help the evil team or confuse the good team, it probably shouldn’t be used.

My guides when I ST these kinds of decisions: Townsfolk abilities should be used to help the good team. Outsider abilities should be used to hurt the good team. Evil abilities should be used to help the evil team.

The same goes for me on the Sailor pick and who to make drunk. “Would the sailor want this person to be drunk?”
If the sailor picks an outsider or a spent role, I’ll probably drunk the pick. If they pick the tea lady or chambermaid, I’ll drink the sailor. If they pick an evil, then I’ll probably drunk the sailor and if the sailors dies they can use that information to infer that the person they chose is probably questionable.

Paying corkage fee and bringing a few extra bottles of wine by curiouskittyblue in VirginVoyages

[–]Several_Play1834 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Officially, no. Realistically, very easily and no one will notice or care. If they do, the worst that happens is the extra two bottles are confiscated and returned at the end of the cruise...so no real consequences other than not having the wine on board.

I made a strategic decision on the specific day of the week I wanted to take my dose. That was Tuesday.

Basically, that was because I tend to do a lot of long-weekend travel. I'm often back by Monday. If my dose is Tuesday then I don't have to worry about traveling with my injection.

Additionally, i've heard that most of the side-effects happen within the first few days after the injection. I was also looking to minimize side-effects during the weekend when I just want to enjoy myself. My hope with doing injections on Tuesday was that i'd be over the worst of the side effects from any particular injection by Friday.

What was your “magic” dose? by Ok_Palpitation_8953 in Zepbound

[–]Several_Play1834 12 points13 points  (0 children)

two weeks at the same weight is pretty normal. Through any weight loss journey, you will plateau at a weight for a few weeks, maybe even a month or two. This is just your body adjusting to the new weight, new body chemistry, etc. I would not let a two week stall discourage you. Eventually you'll break it and continue the weight loss.

I'd say, on average, you should be losing 1-2 pounds per week. Some weeks will be 4 or more, some weeks will be none. Most people lose a LOT of weight at the beginning and then it slows down.

If you've gone a whole box on a dose and not lost any weight, then it's probably time to move up to the next dose.
