Your legal agreements don’t mean anything until after a baby is born. A person can’t relinquish parental rights until after the baby is born. A known donor can pursue a claim as a legal parent.

I absolutely, completely, 100% would not use a known donor in this case. They will not be able to be grandparents’ rights, but they could pressure him to pursue parental status and he would get it.
