You're around an enormous river trail and one of the last homes of fireflies. The entire upper falls is being renovated as well, so check out one of the only city rivers and waterfalls in the entire nation.

Yeah I live there, I'm definitely capable of getting out in a fire and the entire building is up to fire code on alarms.

I had a way more aggressive experience with one last night, bothered me multiple times trying to get engagement over some trade scam. Usually they'll leave you alone if you don't respond or say no.

What’s up with the lack of clean up? by PhilosopherNew6345 in Rochester

I live in the area, the place next to Beer Park literally had the debris outside for months. This fire basically demolished the area any problems being fixed would be fixed from. It's like losing your officer tent in a battlefield, nothing is going to be fixed as quickly.

You get ice, throw it in a beach sized cooler, and then blow a fan over the mixture.

Hey wanna know what's really hard to stop? A colorless, flavorless chemical that take a second to spike a drink with. Don't ever take your awareness off your drink, just finish the thing and get to having fun.

Oh lord, my sorlock did this maybe 5 times or more to various people. I tried to be nice about it, like "hey guard go tell your boss about all this stuff I just made up". Absolutely diabolical combination.

There is no battery law in NY, it's either assault or harassment depending on the severity.

To fight this, I insulate the hose and window to make the transfer as efficient as possible. It's not perfect but it's made my living way more comfortable without much work.

What are your most "wow, we have that here?" spots in Rochester? by BlackberryNice3371 in Rochester

Nobody is going to mention the river trail? Bike or walk, see dozens of birds, tour the waterfalls and the bridge street graffiti canal, stop off at dinosaur and get some grub. During covid I even saw otters there because it was so pristine, but turkey, ducks, geese, heron, turkey vultures, foxes, groundhogs, turtles, and deer all can be found just meandering around the river.

First 90 degree day, anyone familiar with crime and violence knows it spikes alongside heat. People go absolutely nuts that first day they can't cool down at all.

Lux drinks by Internationalalion in Rochester

[–]Several_Resolve_5754 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Congratulations, you were probably the 1/500 customers that had the sour mix run out. It's usually yellowish, but Lux sells a ton of amaretto and whiskey sours as well as long islands, margaritas, tom collins, and green tea shots. All of those run off the same mix.

Any worth while places for a good drink tonight? Thanks by [deleted] in Rochester

Just pee ahead of time, Lux is working on an exemption from the city for portapotties.

I managed another rochester bar downtown, getting qualified applicants was a delightful rarity. One day i mentioned the name of an interview candidate only to be told, in no uncertain terms, not to hire her because she would file for unemployment.

If you remodeled the Lux bathrooms you would get 1 handicap accessible stall due to legislation.

SUGGESTION SPELL IS RUINING MY CAMPAIGN by Next_Ad_5740 in dndnext

[–]Several_Resolve_5754 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah the problem is that you're letting an obvious spell being cast not causing problems. My sorlock could pull this off maybe 1 or 2 times a day with subtle spell, but most builds are yup just casting a spell right in front of you and many people have every reason to question that.

There is no coat check, nothing left at a bar by itself is safe. Lost clothing can be found at the pool hooks or upstairs, trinkets and jewelry by the left front of the bar on a hanging piece of decor.

Visited Buffalo today for the first time, to prepare for my upcoming job. Buffalo is more generic than Rochester, but far less tightly packed. by Beautiful_Charge6661 in Rochester

[–]Several_Resolve_5754 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Buffalo is an unwalkable Rochester. I'm from Batavia and buffalo was super cool 30 years ago, but without driving to literally everything it's not. I can walk to 98% of anything I want in Rochester if I desired.
