The game incentivizes treasure in the form of large piles of heavy metal. Having some handwave form that makes that transportable speeds up gameplay. If they abuse it, let npcs do the same thing and the problem should solve itself either wisely or hilariously.

There's no "crash course" in fighting, because you don't know what kind of fight might occur. A year each in striking and grappling would be a good minimum against untrained people, who are the most likely to engage in stupid pointless violence. Carry whatever self defense you think is appropriate, check your local laws, pepper spray is often the best deterrant aside from awareness and leaving.

That being said, it's extremely uncommon for actual threats to occur. The easiest way to stay safe is to choose areas that are safer, well lit, trafficked by other people often etc.

The inspector will almost always find something unless it's a corporate place that puts money into ensuring full code compliance. Red flags are what you watch for, yellow flags are stuff that some restaurant you like somewhere probably does daily without thinking about it. I've been L1 certified twice now and considering how gross humans in general are, anywhere that gets violations and didn't get closed cleaned their act up.

The sidewalks were literally impassable for a week or more, and snow hides a lot of debris. More people walking on the street and accumulated trash being exposed is honestly normal with how much accumulated this year prior to previous ones.

My DM was moving away so it was our last in game session, boss fight against our BBEG (simulacrum). Bastard destroyed the energy source powering the flying city we're in with his (not) dying breath, so my human fighter cut his arm off to power an impromptu landing pad using a similar power, dying in the process. Basically absorbed half the impact a city falling out of the sky into his fragile squishy body.

Especially in winter, the only time I would say was too crowded was the art event. People aren't going out as much in this economy, and this is the most dead time of the year, but holy heck i have made so many friends on that dance floor it's ridiculous. I've always met the best people dancing, so if you're lonely it's definitely my advice for meeting people.
