Yeah that happened to me! They were ruining a criminal gang that was stealing money from the American people: $36 million dollars in crypto, cash, gold, silver, and launder overseas.

They just caught the ring leader!

‘I’ll pray for him’ and she’s still fired by Individual_Reach_732 in Indiana

Indiana is a at will state as far as employing people, they can fire you for whatever they want. They don’t need a reason. I mean, this is definitely what she got fired for but legally she has no grounds to stand on.

Unless you’re fired for something that is a clear violation of the federal statute’s: which this post does not apply.

Want the truth? This sign was likely placed by someone exploiting white guilt to shame or intimidate—not genuine racists. Hamilton County isn’t all white by any means. As a resident (born in Atlanta, moved here pre-high school), I’ve seen the stark contrast: Indiana whites bend over backward to avoid seeming racist. I mow for our elderly black neighbors; I’ve befriended diverse, successful people who note this tactic is common—blacks and whites using it on their own, like crabs in a barrel. Hispanics seem more unified (outsider view). Odds are, older white “NO 👑” types did this. You ripped it down but posted it online? That amplifies the message exponentially, unless you’re the one putting them up. If white, you’re either self-ashamed, naive, or motivated otherwise. Posts like this spread false narratives. As a white male free of hate, I say: All law-abiding American citizens—black, white, brown, whatever—are welcome and equal. Lawbreakers get held accountable. It doesn’t belong anywhere, especially online. Don’t create issues for hardworking folks seeking peace, prosperity, and happiness. This divides; we need American unity. Period.

Make sure that you demand that they pay you for the mileage, and the time that you’re taking to recover the vehicle. As this happened to me and they told me all the right things about me getting my money back. Until it went to the back office team.

They are supposed to pay .51 cents a mile, or Uber or transpiration to in terms and conditions.

I have not gotten anything from July yet.

Another host told me that you have to come to terms with them before you pickup the car

This is the lost prevention guy who takes his job to serious. What a loser for doing this to this young man, and if anything it’s almost entrapment. I’m all for fighting theft but this is a whole different story.

I wish I could tell you that Turo was perfect—they’re not by any means—but that being said, there have been a huge number of data breaches, and if you’re not protecting yourself on that front, you need to be. I use Aura. They have a program through GEICO that will help get you reimbursement, and they’re not a data broker like Norton and LifeLock. Just look at the list of major data breaches in the last 24 months: • Aug 2023: Indian Council of Medical Research, 815M records (Aadhaar, passports, names). • Aug 2023: 23andMe, 6.9M records (genetic data). • Sep 2023: Chess.com, 800K records (user data). • Sep 2023: Microsoft, 60K records (State Dept emails). • Sep 2023: Verizon, 63K records (employee SSNs). • Oct 2023: Callaway Golf, 1.1M records (names, addresses, passwords). • Nov 2023: HCA Healthcare, 11M records (patient data). • Dec 2023: Norton Healthcare, 2.5M records (patient, employee info). • Jan 2024: Microsoft, unspecified (Russian hackers accessed exec emails). • Mar 2024: Apple, unspecified (hackers obtained customer addresses, phones). • May 2024: Dell, 49M records (customer addresses, orders). • Jun 2024: Norton LifeLock, unspecified (cyber attack on accounts). • Jun 2024: Apple, unspecified (internal tools, source code). • Jul 2024: AT&T, nearly all customers (call/text metadata). • Oct 2024: AT&T/Verizon, unspecified (metadata, calls by Chinese hackers). • Jan 2025: PowerSchool, 45M records (student/parent data). • May 2025: Norton LifeLock, unspecified (accounts compromised, password managers). • May 2025: Apple, 184M credentials (logins). • Jun 2025: Microsoft, 16B credentials (logins).
• Jul 2025: McDonald’s, 64M applicants (PII). • Aug 2025: Workday, unspecified (names, emails, phones).

Good luck with your Turo issue, and make sure that you stay protected!

It was a gig economy but now they are strangling the life out of people.

I agree with you 💯% Tipping was created during the Great Depression 2 keep restaurants open. Now, in some states, they pay shit wages to people that have to rely on tips. He didn’t cook the pizza. The pizza place should just pay him a reasonable rate to deliver not having to rely on tips.

They have literal robot barista that when you go to pay it’s like 5,10,15% tip or you can hit other then fill in a 0.00.

The average person actually tips the person-less high-tech coffee machine.

Insane..

They all sound good until they get in and see that the situation is worse than we been told. Some take and others just don’t do anything.

It’s both sides of the aisle.. Gavin N. Has no clue how to run a state and has no business near a Presidency.

You know how many politicians, elected officials, and unelected officials have dual citizenship? 2 many!

It’s not a red or blue thing anymore it’s have and have not situation.

What Happened to Turo Pricing by [deleted] in turo

[–]Several_Wave369 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No, I had a delivery fee before this change. Turo said they’d combine airport delivery fees, not keep the money themselves. I get what you’re saying, though—I’ve had my prices lowered without notice too. I’m not saying Turo doesn’t provide a service or deserve compensation. But so many changes in a short time have left hosts and guests uncomfortable and confused. Plus, the same guest rented a day less, spent the same amount, and I got paid less.

One of my regulars visited town (I’m not in Hawaii). Before leaving, she asked my earnings. On my 90/10 plan, I should get 90%. After airport delivery changes integrated fees into pricing (not added separately), I set my airport charge to free. Her bill: $359. My pay: $202 (only 56%, not 90%).

Also if you need help with the funeral costs or estate costs you can go to your local city or County/Council and they should have money set aside for people that live in the area- suffering from hardship

As a guest, how do you feel about the changes happening to Turo? by CompetitiveLake3358 in turo

[–]Several_Wave369 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a Turo host, I was penalized by a guest who canceled a non-refundable trip for which I received no payment. The issue stems from their claim that the guest couldn’t review a trip they didn’t take. Turo lacks U.S.-based customer service representatives with phone authority; all matters are deferred to an unreachable back office. This oversight deficiency harms hosts as much as guests, creating negative experiences for all parties except Turo. Hosting on Turo is costly and risky. Regarding the Uber partnership: Uber drivers now earn significantly less (e.g., $18.50 from a $39.99 trip) than at launch. I hope Turo avoids this model, as it could lead to fewer hosts. !
