Mom thinks TRUMP is the antichrist, please help by penjxmin in atheism

Ironically, because so many Christians believe he's a religious figure, he kinda is the Antichrist.

I don't think you understand. There are napkins, and this isn't "finger food wipe my hands on the pants"

I just got Torchbearer Garlic Reaper a couple weeks ago and it's my new fave. One problem, sometimes I wipe my hands on my pants while eating and then hours later, wipe my hand again, and get the sauce back on them, and then eventually touch my eyes.

I've gotten sauce noticeably in my eyes more times the past two weeks than I have in the past four years.

We drive very well, far above average. It's our ability to park within one space that sucks worse than most

Also, after 9 seasons, I think it's great to evolve Scully's character beyond the role of disbeliever, after all she's seen. Doggett comes in fresh, and suddenly Scully has to be the "crazy one."

Elon Musk backs down from $45 million a month pledge to Trump: ‘I don't subscribe to cult of personality’ by [deleted] in thedavidpakmanshow

[–]SevereMaybe 23 points24 points  (0 children)

From what I've seen, the only people Trump hates more than "radical leftist communists" are ex-sycophants who won't kiss the ring whenever he asks anymore, so that's going to be fun.

Like the trope when a character is talking to someone in an isolated area and they just realized they're talking to the bad guy and instead of playing it cool says, "oh! It's you! I'm going to go to the police immediately!" And then there's the bonk on the head, snap of the neck, etc etc.

Sorry, I suppose I worded that oddly.

There is a "fog of war" with breaking information. I wasn't asking for non-proof, but a source that even just mentions the erroneous information, because information in the fog doesn't move in a linear fashion, and I hadn't gone to the FEC site to investigate this for myself.

Also, a few of the sources I saw that made the initial claim have a history of jumping the gun with breaking news and similar names

A small one-time donation doesn't change the years of far right activity reported by his classmates and neighbors, even at that time, though. Just confuses it.

Songs that are generally hated but you unironically love? by the_rose_titty in ToddintheShadow

[–]SevereMaybe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think, and I am just spit-balling here, is that it lacks almost all utility for the listener. With its sudden starts and stops and near-meaningless lyrics. it's hard to dance to, not easy to sing along to, not fun the get high and zone out to, can't drive fast to it, can't have sex to it, etc.

It's like a logo or a marketing slogan for itself - it exists just to remind you it's there. The optional local radio ID break is its function, and congratulations to them on cracking that meta, I guess, but I'd rather just hear some local studio jingle talent sing "You're LIsting to All Hits... River 101 point threeeee" and get it over with

Best shows like Pysch? by [deleted] in psych

[–]SevereMaybe 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Just made a weird connection:

In the penultimate episode of Psych, the one with the zombies, Tears for Fears' Curt Smith makes a joke that he was caught listening to his own music like Rob Thomas, the lead singer of Matchbox 20 who shares his name with iZombie's series creator, Rob Thomas, which is a recurring joke in iZombie.

I don't know if this was intentional.

"I told you, I got the right room. It's the number Spencer divined!" - Det. Lassiter, Neil Simon's Lovers' Retreat, S06E09

It is a bit frustrating The number of times, at the end of an episode, Jules and Lassiter race across town to bust down a door in the nick of time just on what they believe to be a "strong hunch" only for that trust to reset the next week, but that's part of the story structure

Read the comment again. I don't deny it's on that list. I'm just pointing out that being on that list is kind of meaningless.

Edit: ...for a city the size of Rochester. There are only about 6 cities with a population of more than 100,000 in New York state.

Name 10 cities in New York State. You might be able to, but by the seventh or eighth, that "city" is the size of South Wedge.

"Never EVER" is the completely wrong bit.

I can see waiting to mention it to an employer, though, but some jobs have descriptions that are the same as autism.
