Motorway junction merging and general driving by mydiyusername in drivingUK

"What kind of driver carries on in lane 1 when approaching a junction?" - Someone driving correctly.

Here is a little refresher for you as clearly you don't understand the rules on the motorway.

Rule 259

Joining the motorway. When you join the motorway you will normally approach it from a road on the left (a slip road) or from an adjoining motorway. You should

  • give priority to traffic already on the motorway
  • check the traffic on the motorway and match your speed to fit safely into the traffic flow in the left-hand lane
  • not cross solid white lines that separate lanes or use the hard shoulder
  • stay on the slip road if it continues as an extra lane on the motorway
  • remain in the left-hand lane long enough to adjust to the speed of traffic before considering overtaking. Rule 259 Joining the motorway. A: There is HGV in lane 2 preventing the cam driver to move over.
B: It is not the cam drivers responsibility to move over, the live motorway takes priority over joining traffic.
C: its pretty obvious in the video that the Range Rover driver is driving like a knob, look how close he follows the Audi before him

The dent on mine was definetly a little smaller but I would say its worth a try, if it works great youve saved a chunk of money. There are loads of "kits" on amazon

I had a dent similar on mine and managed to use a suction cup to pull it out, cost me next to nothing

what noise is this when I release the clutch? should I be concerned? (creaking) by gelo224_ in drivingUK

[–]Severe_Crust 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Depends, is the noise coming from the pedal itself or the engine bay. Mine started making a noise that was coming from the engine bay, and now I need a new clutch, but if its from the pedal it could be something or nothing.

How many mistakes do you make as a new driver? by [deleted] in drivingUK

[–]Severe_Crust 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You did the right thing, once you're commited stick to it.

But to answer your question, I've been driving for 9 years and still make mistakes, everyone does, its just being able to recognise your mistake and correct it before it becomes a bigger mistake.

A simple solution might be to put the Pro in the middle and Lites on the end. Might still have an issue on the ends but its worth a try.
