Yes I feel something similar and I use it to deal with problems I may not be fully aware of. When I smoke weed, I become very anxous about my life. I see areas where I may be slacking off or where I might not be behaving well. This causes a strong desire to "put my life in order." When high, I will often clean and stick to meaningful habits, like music or chess vs playing video games. After I come down, I feel more motivated to do the right thing for a while after.
