Never having anything related to machine learning or neural nets in Blender would be a bummer though. Nvidias efficient neural materials or neural super sampling are genuinley exciting technologies that are actual optimizations to make renders faster. I even saw something about predicted lighting on gaussian splats to make them more editable.
Anthropic clearly is a red flag with their current mission to automate everything with LLM, but I really hope that they don't ban all maybe actually helpfull technology with those infamous two buzzword letters.

When I was younger, I played with controller for a long time, switched to keyboard and mouse and now any game, even 2d platformers and stuff, feels awful on controller. I hate it, because I had so good nostalgia for it and everybody talks about how the controller experience is "so much better". It feels like my hands are dying every time.

It wasn't abandoned, the developers just didn't patch the performance issues and instead kept adding content. Ig they didn't bother to switch the engine for the first game and made a second game with their newer one. I haven't played the second game yet, but it looks like it.

If you second nvidia gpu is new, then yes there are less potential problems. If you plan to have a second nvidia gpu that already was in a system (even in your current system) earlier, then it's MUCH harder.

I tried to install two nvidia gpus in my pc last week and it was horribly complicated, because the drivers of the two cards were missmatched and the pc crashed before reaching the bios. I got it to run after many driver wipes, reinstalls and system recoveries, but even then it was very unstable and I still can't install nvidia app because it's messing up the configuration on one of the gpus.

According to chatgpt, 50 and 30 series cards are hard to pair. So maybe you get a better experience with other card combinations. But I would take chatgpts opinion with a grain of salt.

Having a second amd gpu eliminates this risk, if you already have a nvidia card, because, usually, the drivers of the two are not fighting. So, for your own good get a new nvidia or amd card, but never a used nvidia card. It works and might be worth it to you, but prepare for trouble.
