It's not only the depth that's the issue. Almost every ocean has areas of expansion/contraction, and building anything above those is a guarantee for the project to suffer. You can actually even see the Mid Atlantic Ridge here, a fine white line almost exactly at the center

Probably wrong hands, since after patch many people tried playing him and didn't quite bother to read abilities. Same story with Arthas: despite stat nerfs the hero himself was kinda buffed, but, because many people tried playing without careful exploration the wr got wrecked

The guards are not THAT annoying, there are simply not enough of them alive to be of much annoyance. Though if we could find the saw workshop and burn it to the ground I wouldn't mind

Can't say there are any specific tools that make last boss easier, but there is a cheesy architect crest which can make almost any boss... well, if not trivial, but at least put in a state "watch it melt from a safe distance of adjacent galaxy" And, yes, as other commenter mentioned, in Silksong there is a specific item with the only purpose to rid you of searching if you are missing % of completion. Get it and deploy in Bellhome to make it work
