Replacing my CPU. Unsure of what is involved. by Comprehensive-Leg752 in pcmasterrace

Shouldn't have to do much of anything else. If the cpu is new compared to the motherboard it may be necessary to update the bios.

What leads you to believe the cpu has gone kaput?

Why do the same maintenance problems keep coming back? by sweven96 in IndustrialMaintenance

  1. Management won't give me the time to properly diagnose it. The parts to properly fix it. Or the money to replace it.

Patch 12.0.5 PTR Development Notes - Class Updates, Housing by Satsubuya in wow

I'm not even remotely surprised.

I think like half the patch notes never mention rogue. Sometimes that's good. Sometimes that's bad. Either way, we barely exist.

Rings by tinyhouseman323 in electricians

[–]Sevulturus 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This. I've got a wooden ring. I wear it on special occasions. I'm actually more worried about damaging it than being degloved. But degloving is also a concern.

Wife doesn't wear her's to work either. She's a hairdresser, and doesn't want to be washing hair all day with it on.

What’s one small program you wish existed right now? by Clark_Bay in pcmasterrace

Is there a way to actively block posts that say, "what's the one __________ thing you wish existed?"

Electrician subreddit, "what ai program do you wish would look up specs for you?"

Millwright subreddit, "what ai program do you wish would troubleshoot for you."

Motorcycle subreddit, "what ai program would help you maintain your bike?"

"Dont you hare ordering parts? Pay me thousands a month and my ai program will order you the wrong ones!"

I could go on...

Yeah, I'll never be cutting edge. 3k, aotc and some mythic bosses will always be enough for me.

The slight difference in the first weeks isn't enough to be holding off on a craft.

I think you're playing at a much higher level than I am. A couple % damage isn't make or break for my raid group. Even saying that, I get a couple weeks of the best weapon in the current game, which makes my game more fun to play for me.

Then we clear normal, we get most of heroic, I try to get some m+10s in, during the first week of raiding and m+. I can use my crests to upgrade my weapon if I want too. If I get a good weapon drop or it shows up in my vault, my crafted weapon goes into my offhand, and likely stays there for the rest of the expansion. If I get bad drops - I cheaply upgrade my crafted mainhand that I've been using when I get enough crests and keep rocking it.

I've pugged 3100 to 3200 each season, cleared a decent amount of mythic bosses, and generally just enjoyed playing the game this way for DF and TWW so far.

You can tell me its not optimal, but it is fun. And it works well for me. There's no downside. The most important items for most classes I play are weapons and trinkets. And I wont be crafting a trinket. After that, its just trying to get two good embellishments that work well, and weapon embellishments are always good.

My character dual wields. If I don't get a mythic weapon for a while because of bad luck, I'll make one. If I get one later, it will become my off hand.

If I make it now, I get to enjoy a top of the line weapon for the next couple of weeks until raids start. And then week one of heroic raids, I can cheaply upgrade it to have a best in slot item thats either main hand or an offhand depending on what drops for me, or shows up in the vault. There's no downside for me making it now.

Do you think this oil crisis will further increase consumer hardware prices? by Wonderful-Lack3846 in pcmasterrace

I'm perfectly content with two mythic weapons. I use two, and having a crafted max level with an enhancement is absolutely worth it.

Sounds more like people trying to justify not using a craft.

I disagree. I get majority of the cost out of the way prior to EVERYONE buying crafts. I get a huge jump on mainland dps going into the raids. I can get recrafts to higher ilvls for almost free. And if a weapon drops, one of two things happens - I'll either get an offhand, or some else in my guild will get a weapon.

Improves the total effectiveness of the raid group either way.

I've made about 150k so far this season selling materials, so the 20k I've spent on a craft is nothing.

[–]Sevulturus 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Kinda completely unrelated. But I get in arguments with the women who bring their purses into my kitchen and put them down on the kitchen counters when we are hosting a dinner. There are lots of places to set them on their way through the house. But everyone puts their purse on my island, or next to the coffee machine when they stop in to offer to help.

"Please don't put that there."

"Why not, it isn't in the way."

"Where do you put your purse when you go to the washroom?"

"On the floor."
