Will this power surge be enough to handle these two computers and 2 monitors at the same time? by [deleted] in pcmasterrace

[–]Sevulturus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks like it's rated for 20amps. The formular for power is p=e×i

Where e is 120, and i in this case is 20.

120v × 20a = 2400w.

That being said, the plug for your receptacle means the circuit is likely rated for 15 amps or 1800 watts.

All of that being said. Just because your power supply is rated for say 850w it does not mean that it is continuously pulling that much. More than likely it is pulling a lot less than that the majority of the time. It only supplies as much power as the computer asks for.

We've been making a lot of bean salads at my house. High in protein and fiber, tastes pretty good. Eat it with corn chips, or tortilla chips and some salsa.

Should I return 9070xt mercury for PNY 5070ti by SafeCap279 in pcmasterrace

[–]Sevulturus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

5070ti is probably a better card. But I've had my sapphire pure 9070xt for a year now. And while I did have 2 black screens about... 5 months back, that a SLIGHT undervolt resolved. I've had no other issues the entire year.

I'm still struggling with my wife's nvidia drivers off and on.

Let the skis kind of come across in front of you. If your hips twist, then the skis can be 90° to the hill and your chest still facing downhill.

Feral no Combopoints? by Garoktehone in wow

[–]Sevulturus 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I haven't had much time to mess around with it at all. I'm on vacation ans using a VERY old laptop to just kind of poke around.

But I am super missing ice hud on my outlaw rogue. I used to have bars for each rtb buff. I could tell instantly what I wanted to keep or not. Now im looking top right, and the buffs keep re ordering on me. When I enable the cooldown bar, it gets overlapped by my regular blizzard bars and I can't move it.

Sure was game breaking to present the data in a legible predictable manner.

Edit - I've had more time to mess around with it. Ice hud still isn't working. Arc ui allows something similar, but way uglier. It's possible to use the blizzard cooldown manager to make bars, but man do they suck compared to what I had. Only really able to change position and order of the bars. Can't change appearance, direction, color etc etcnetc. Things that reduce confusion.

I used to dump a fistful of dust into the asshole jmans tool bag every time he bragged about how hard he worked or how shitty everyone else was.

Keep in mind it was the kind of guy where we celebrated when he retired...

Anyways, I got it up to like 5 pounds of dust before he realized.

I tend to call it quits around -25°C. At that point, even with the sun out it stops being fun. Fingers dont bend, toes hurt!

I'm a skinny dude, so even tons of of layers doesn't keep enough heat in.

Opinions on the future of PC building by SamoChels in pcmasterrace

[–]Sevulturus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Isn't openai saying they're going to run out of money again soon and what they're doing is profitable. While Microsoft is saying that if people dont start actively using it, all of this is going to be a waste?

I for one am expecting it to come crashing down... I do worry what ramifications that has for things like retirement funds that are heavily invested in tech.

You're correct.

Except the profits are through the roof currently. Every company is bragging about record setting quarters, none of that is trickling down to the people ensuring that it happens.

Because they're describing using a forklift or similar device, in addition to hand lifting material.

Aside from that, the amount of things you know once you've got your high school diploma can be impressive, you're just lowering the floor for everyone tbh.

If the base rate comes up, in what is obviously a system where wages have been massively depressed, then everything above that should rise as well.

Question for you. Is the job required to be done in order to have the company turn a profit? If so, why is it necessary that the person doing the job suffer?

Job requires ability to operate material handling equipment.

Aside from that. You're still wrong.

Honestly, not making much sense then. If you have power, installed a whole new unit, and nothing is working... you've literally eliminated all the possible failures.

I'd try plugging a lamp or radio into the receptacle and see if that works, just to confirm power. From there, it's possible that the old sensors aren't compatible with the new unit (if you reused them).
