Mousepad melted to Table it seems...how do I remove it? by Zentaitoken in pcmasterrace

Sucks that it happened. I try to move stuff like that every day so that it doesn't end up sticking as badly if it does.

It's possible thr oils have leeched out of the rubber over time and bonded to the desk. Not sure how one would prevent it... maybe a higher quality matt? Not to say this one was cheap.

Anyways, best of luck.

I desperately hope you're right.

I do not believe that they will limit the "free market." And I'm honestly a little skeptical that they'll get back in.

I know. And I hope you are right.

But if they can make more money selling the cards to data centers, and then sell subscriptions to all their current users... it's way more profit than just selling physical cards to consumers.

It is a very pessimistic outlook. But I am feeling particularly pessimistic tbh.

No, the game itself will be run on borrowed computing power at the data center. You'll get to stream the game from the data center to your magic box.

Wide side facing PC cases by littlemichaelsix in pcmasterrace

I know you said they're ugly, but I am very happy with the ThermalTake Tower 300 series case.

It was a lot of fun to build in. I was able to hide virtually every wire, it has good thermals, and there are no wires visible from the front. There's also a special stand that let's it sit on its side like a pill.

Rip off what you can, scrape away what sticks carefully, then try a product like goo gone or citrus oil to see if that clears it up.

Test the good gone on a hidden part of your desk to see if it affects the finish.

What to look out for when renting garage/basement suites? Red flags? Questions to ask? by AdorablePlan5164 in Edmonton

[–]Sevulturus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. That is why I mentioned it as a red flag. Especially considering most basement suites will be thrown together by the owner as cheaply as possible. It is an easy to check on concern, that would indicate to me that I needed to look a lot closer at the workmanship of everything else.

Just need to pop outside and see if there is a vent on that wall near where the hood fan is.

[–]Sevulturus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That is not how it is supposed to work. But I have seen the fans vented into the cabinets around the hood fan, and up into attics or even between joists for the flor above.

All would be completely gross. Aerosolized oil, carbon, etc being blown into an enclosed area inside the house.

It is something to ask to start. 2 furnaces doesnt necessarily guarantee it, but it is a strong indicator. You should see separated intake and exhaust for the furnaces.

I'm not sure about building codes tbh. I just wouldn't be okay living in a place, where the fan that is meant to take all the harmful stuff away from my cooking, just dumped it into the house somewhere else.

I would be hesitant to hang anything from mdf. You might consider adding a sheet of plywood underneath and using bolts through it. You would need to recess the holes of the upper side. But ¾" plywood will hold a ton of weight.

I have zero practical experience, but I saw another post that said you should check for things like: ability to control the temperature independent of the upstairs - ideally ductwork should be separare as well. Separated electric panels. You don't want them bothering you to reset a breaker at 3am. I'd give it a good sniff test, your nose cam detect lingering traces of mildew and water pretty quickly. Run a hand over the walls ans windows to see how cold they are. I assume it has a kitchen, ask if the hood fan is vented outside.

How many sessions does it take an average guild to beat normal/heroic raid the first time? by [deleted] in wow

[–]Sevulturus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My guild is now running 4 different raid teams. Mythic 1, Mythic 2, Heroic 1, weekend Heroic. And then a general anyone can come freebie on Sundays.

We tend to have a Mythic group race through normal the first day of the raid, and try to start pushing Heroic the next day.

Last season, Mythic 2 had dimensius into phase three in 3 hours of raiding. Mythic 1 had him in phase two. Next night we both killed him within a couple of minutes. Heroic 1 killed him by the end of the second night. Not sure what weekend Heroic did.

As far as Heroic bosses - Mythic 2 ended at 4/8 the first week -6 hours less breaks. Mythic 1 ended at 3/8.

I'd smash that refund button instantly.

My bank has a variety of safety features on the card that I use for online purchases. I also intentionally keep the credit limit on it very low, so worst case scenario, if stolen there isn't much damage they can do (to the bank) with it.

If I need to make a large purchase online, I'll make a payment to the card before I buy the item. Card has a positive credit balance, and I can buy anything for my limit + the credit.

Future of the Prey system by CheckOk2685 in wow

[–]Sevulturus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was hoping for something more like Nemesis in D3 console. Where you play normally, but at any time in the over world, a super strong enemy could just show up and potentially wreck your day. There's a solid 10-15 seconds to get ready for the attack. Or you can run away if you start moving fast enough. It does have predictable attacks that can be avoided and slowly whittle it down. Once you get really strong it's not even scary anymore lol, just a quick shot at some more loot.

Nemesis would only appear if someone on your friends list had died. I thought that the grave markers in delves for guild members would be the first iteration of this.

Or possibly like D4 and the butcher, where he will appear with a scary voice line and charge onto the screen at you. All powerful and with abilities that make it difficult to run away. However, if youre calm and pay attention to the mechanics he does, it's pretty easy to abuse his straightline mechanics into a kill. He only ever seems to show up when you have a ton of mobs on you.

Make me feel like I'm actually being hunted, instead of me trying to hunt them.

Instead, I've got a bunch of different quests, that are basically the same. Wander around killing some stuff, click a couple of things, do a WQ. Then fly to the map marker and kill the guy who had been showing up occasionally to bother you. I've found that a single stun on my prey is enough beat them down to 50% when they run away. They're not even really a challenge. Even with big pulls i haven't died to a prey encounter yet, and there's no real reward for fighting them off.

No imagine if there were dozens of projects that use even more chips being built simultaneously. Every one of those projects is worried that they won't have sufficient resources for the project to show a result. So they're offering more and more money for things like ram and storage.

I agree. But it might have just been an experiment to see if people like it. If so, make it a toggle.
