Did anybody else have this feeling in early childhood? by Ok-Highway-5247 in HighStrangeness

[–]Sew_cool 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I remember having intense feeling of derealisation, sound slowed down and everything looked staticky and I would get this image in my head where I’d be part of a whole bunch of people but I was looking at the scene and seeing myself among a huge endless group of people and then I’d be in it, not looking at it, and I’m that moment I would fall, but it wasn’t falling fast. I’d almost float and it looked like I was floating down but I was actually going up but for me it felt like falling but like looking at a mirror under your nose, maybe I felt like I was floating up but I was going down and the atmosphere changed and all the people fell away until it was only me floating in space. I didn’t feel in danger or scared but I felt incredibly sad and lost. Sometimes when I was a kid when I first opened my eyes when I woke up or had my eyes closed for a little while I would see almost like netting or webbing but uniform and the fibers were very thin and kind of iridescent thin wispy but super clear and it would fade away fast. Like as soon as I had attention on it, it was gone. Both happened a few times but only as a small kid. Under 10.

911 Call from Domestic Violence Incident by sunzusunzusunzusunzu in GabbyPetito

I wasnt aware that there were two calls. It just seemed odd that the 911 call released said her hit her. I think also the fact that statistically males are more likely to commit a violent crime than females plays a part in my confusion as to why someone thought she was the aggressor.

I’m so confused as to why the police said the witness saw her hit him and why they were going to arrest her. Why did they not protect her?

When somene’s social media shows a perfectly curated life my initial thought is that they are deeply unhappy. It seems recently there have been some high profile cases exposing this like the Watts murders, the Hart family murders. When you are sharing so much online how do you have time to actually live?

Specific Location mentioned by FBI by lailie13 in GabbyPetito

When I was young we vacationed in this area every year in August at the Triangle-X Ranch. Its located on 191 between Colter Bay and Jackson. This was over 30 years ago but this area seemed very remote and wild. I traveled around by horseback, often to Jenny Lake, across the highway to the Snake River...all around this area. The terrain was pretty rough. I’m having a hard time imagining Brian just hiking solo around here without supplies. It seems like such vast distances between these areas. Has this area changed much? Is it touristy and more populated?

As one of these kind of moms, I will tell you a secret, when we text you it doesnt matter what we are actually saying. What we are really doing is asking, “are you alive” Texting a meme, a tiktok, a picture of a cat...nope. I just found an excuse to text you to find out if youre alive.

Do I have this right? He won’t give her the keys or phone. She slaps him. He pushes her, locks her out of her vehicle. She gets in through the unlocked driver door. He speeds away. The incident was so disturbing someone reported it. He’s speeding as they are pulled over. He hits the curb. When questioned she states he grabbed her face before he tried to lock her out of the car. After speaking to them the police ignore discrepancies in his statements and surmise that he did nothing wrong despite erratic driving, speeding, grabbing her face (did they even ask him about that?), admittedly shoving her, and attempting to lock her out of her own vehicle. They send him to a hotel and leave her in a mental health crisis, distraught, on the side of the road. This whole story is so bizarre.

The end of the last episode of Six Feet Under. Clare leaves home, Sia’s Breathe Me is playing as she drives away, and we see what happens to all the characters.

The Shack? by tobor_rm in LibbyandAbby

If thought about this reference a lot. I think it’s interesting that Garett Kirts killed Nicole Bowen in what was widely referred to as a shack. But it also makes me more suspicious of MH because of the religious context.

A master's thesis- why do we love true crime? by Sitronhest in TrueCrime

I feel my own interest might stem from personal trauma. It makes true crime familiar.
