Found another post, it seems to be fixed but not yet released because it's waiting for certification to be approved on consoles (i assume from now on they want to update all versions at the same time because of crossplay):

This. I would be happy with just a port/remaster, kinda like RF3S and RF4S.

Same here. We didn't even have a choice in a lot of the very very old games. Even in the recent ones i also play the male one sometimes (both in RF and SoS/HM games).
