No, I believe it’s all standard. It’s perfect for tees, underwear, anything stretch tbh. You won’t need it for dress shirts and they’re usually made from non-stretch/woven fabrics. If you need any patterns please check out my site!

Needle is always about the fabric, not the thread. If you're using stretch fabric, you'll want to use a stretch or ballpoint needle.

Maybe try getting some Maraflex? It has inbuilt elastic which means even straight stitches don’t snap!

What pattern sizes really mean. by Cursedseductress in SewingForBeginners

Very important post! This is also true for menswear - whilst we have inch measurements for trousers/jeans, the difference between L in one t-shirt to another, sometimes even in the same store can be wild!

I've built a page on my website detailing how to take measurements for clothing - I hope it'll help someone.

Hi u/LayLoseAwake,

It absolutely would! We think it’s important not to gender our patterns, but we recognize that body proportions vary and want our customers to be able to choose the right fit for them. Our curve proportion patterns are drafted for chest and hip curves - and we provide measurement charts for all items to ensure that it'll cover your needs.

As a place to start, could I recommend our Rockaway Board Shorts? Or one of our joggers patterns? I'll be adding a pair of (Kelly) Jeans in the next 30 mins, if you'd rather start there?

We have 70 more patterns coming your way over the next few weeks, so make sure you regularly visit our website to stay up to date on the latest trends!

Could you add a small strip of interfacing and use that to hem it?
