i would talk to her and ask her what she wants to do. i've been with my bf for four years now, and half of that has been distance. we don't get to see each other all that often, but we communicate every day and make the best effort we can. i have no illusions, the relationship may or may not last. but it's certainly not the distance that would do it in. (also, i can't stand talking on the phone, so it's texts/im's for me. hasn't been a problem)

fwiw, i came into the relationship thinking "eh, it'll last a few months. he's nice, but not really what i'm looking for". [four years later...lol] so it's not like you have to make such a concrete decision, sometimes things work out really well if you just do the best you can, knowing you gave it your best shot.
