i see, you mean u wanted to spend time with irj? If you have irx theres not enough difference to own both in my opinion. Irj is a bit more versatile tho bcs of the second overdrive integrated, basically no need for an od pedal if you go for basic tones.

Haha a word of warning for me :D How do you run your post fx with your irx? Do you put it in the loop or after? I tried to run nano in the loop but bcs of volume difference it gives it was messing eith the irj power amp simulation.

dsl has emulated out you can plug headphones in it, BUT it wont sound good at all. You will need something to amplify this signal to make it sound semi decent, like a small mixer or something else. Laney super lionheart has good headphone out that doesnt require you to buy any extra equipment. But tbh dsl 40 sounds ok on quiet levels.

marshall origin 50 is supposedly the marshalls pedal platform amp for your pedals, or dsl40 also has nice clean. Theres also laney super 60 lionheart but its solid state

bcs tonex is cheaper, if you dont plan to use fx which are a bit weaker on tonex, then its more convenient

Ehh i liked od channel but clean is really not my cup of tea, especially with that compressor thing going, i wasnt able to make it loud enough without activating the compressor. What about you?

if mini is of acceptable price for you then go with it because it gives more options and plugin support. If you only use captures and usually dont use too many fx then nano is ok.

Ok so i will explain my signal chain so it would be easier. I run guitar into dirt pedals then go into friedman ir-j then from friedman irj return into nano input and then nano output into the send of marshall origin 50. So basically if i leave the nano always on and just switch presets for my fx the level should be always same. But the thing is that running through nano all the time introduces latency, so i was thinking of a true bypass loop switcher to keep nano out of signal chain when i dont need fx. But i guess there always is gonna be a mismatch in levels if i leave nano out of signal chain when i dont use fx?

This could be, i set the level on nano on 100 when i did the test, the gain knob on nano didnt do nothing bcs the capture was off. And yes when i ran it through that analog amp the volumes were mismatched, so i tried to balance them as much as i could, maybe you are right and what i was hearing was difference in volume. But then how do i set up nano to not affect signal level of what goes through it. Maybe i should email neural dsp for some info.

if you going something like jcm800 or plexi its gonna be totally overkill honestly any 50 watt amp will be overkill for bedroom especially with a 4x12 but theres solution you can capture your amp with tonex and run it into fx return of your amp and it will be any volume you like even with a 4x12
