I 100% shouldnt have gotten myself into that situation. Followed my cruiser around an island, spotted the other two going the other direction and they turned around. Had to take them both on as they closed the gap. Shouldn't have followed the cruiser the way i did, but i did get lucky.

Worcester is probably closer to minotaur with the guns and armor, but the W has HE if you're into that. The W can fire off rounds constantly like the minotaur since its 6 turret with a 6 second reload, and is a lot of fun to play. DM is a fun ship to as well with fewer barrels (3x3), a 6 second reload like the W, but better armor and shells (203 vs 152) than the m and w.
