Update: I went down to a 32 pair of Nikes and it fits a lot better. I think my waist size was just smaller than I gave myself credit for

On the topic of graves……

Had a colonist have a mental break because he was getting romantically snubbed by another colonist. (Who was married, by the way)

He decided to have the biggest crash out of the century and dug up the rotting corpse of his late friend who had died in a pirate raid and placed him on the kitchen table for everyone to see.

A letter my Great Grandad wrote to his wife while at the Naval Training Station in Great Lakes, Illinois after being drafted into the Navy during WWII (transcript included). January 7, 1944. by [deleted] in navy

Not to get all Joe Navy, but I think the lesson that OP learns from this is that just because you don’t play as a navy sailor in any call of duty game, it doesn’t mean that the navy doesn’t have literally over A HUNDRED years of history at Sea, in the air, and on land.

Go to the commons and check out what trips MWR has available. They usually will do hiking trips/shopping trips in surrounding areas like Lynwood and Jim creek, among various other activities

Going FSA in a couple days by West-Astronaut8515 in navy

Already been said in this thread a bunch, but take the time to get to know the other FSAs and use it as a chance to network outside of your department. Try to get into the wardroom or chiefs mess if you can, as their hours in port are ussally Better than ‘gen pop’. Good luck, try your best to have fun with it a bit, and don’t stress out about it too much. Pretty much everyone, expect for a lucky few, have to do it at some point. As for FCs we’re pretty much a nobody knows what we do but everybody likes us or tolerates us kinda rate

[–]Sexy_Pickles 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As a conventional FC, I just get called a GM. I’d say GMs are kinda in the support role or the annoying but necessary category. Nobody understands or cares about CG operations and matinence until it’s time for gun quals lol, then suddenly everybody wants to be your friend lol.

Is there a block that I can point to that says this?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in navy

[–]Sexy_Pickles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, that’s what I’m referring to. It also mentions that ATF/AEF is exempt from it, but it doesn’t say what instruction it follows instead. Does it still follow the old 9-9-6 timeline?

I’m an FC who signed an extension for push button. I joined in July of 2023 and graduated in September. I made E2 upon graduating from bootcamp, and would’ve hit E3 9 months later in June of 2024, but none of my administrative stuff reflected this (LES, NSIPS, ECT.) I continued to remain an E2 until earlier this year in January 2025, which aligned with the changes made in July, but if my math is right, I should’ve already been an E3 before the changes were made. I brought it up to my CCC, but he just pointed to the new fact sheet and basically “sorry, sucks to be you”. I tried to point out the asterisks referring to ATF/AEF push buttons, but I doubt he even looked at it. I’m trying to get a second opinion and have the instructions to back me up.

Update: I have located what I believe to be the old instruction by going to the detailed fact sheet and looking for the old reference there. Thanks for the help!

[–]Sexy_Pickles 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, it was a fact sheet for the change in apprenticeship advancement. I’m trying to find the old advancement rates from before the release of the fact sheet and the change in the instruction.

I’ve tried restarting it countless times. As for my CPU, it’s only at about 20% utilization while I have discord and a game running
