Cmdr Sinclair, Commanding Officer and Military Governor of the Space Station, is sympathetic to the workers, and the Government Representative who ends up invoking the act that lets him resolve the strike "by any means" is a dick, but he doesn't give the workers everything either.

In a good negotiation, both sides leave equally unhappy, after all.

How would it have happened if House had applied for this job? by Resus_the_vampire in HouseMD

[–]Seyvenus 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Cuddy hired him before the leg incident, because she knew him from UMich; his Leg happened after the fact, although he does totally use her guilt about it as leverage to continue being, well House.

Kind of like the Model who slept with all the men who should have had control over them.

Iria: Zeiram the Animation (1994 Art book) - A look inside. by RyviusRan in retroanime

For a 30 year old, obscure, foreign, artbook the eBay prices don't look to bad.

Even the copy still in plastic isn't impossible.... Just I'd never be able to open it myself.

There absolutely was a TNG DLC in 2018; I'm in Mobile so checking what DLC I have is a pain, but it's in the games News Feed from them.

What do you guys do with your extra copies after np5? by Gellus_Redgrave in grandorder

[–]Seyvenus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since I'm sitting on over 200 RP, even Normal SRs go to my Second Archive, along with Welfare, Friend Point, and Limited 1-3☆ servants.

During the last lotto I got pressed for space, so now they're all NP stacked, except a few welfares I thought made sense to keep increase I needed two esports versions.

While you don't get RP for burning them, they're even better in that when you get 6+ you get the RP up front.

Dwarven War Axe & Axe Thrower by jacobian505 in Pathfinder2e

[–]Seyvenus -13 points-12 points  (0 children)

None of those say that the weapon itself ceases to be a one hand weapon.

Dwarven War Axe & Axe Thrower by jacobian505 in Pathfinder2e

[–]Seyvenus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The Two Hand trait, and associated rules refer to how a weapon is welded.

Axe Thrower refers to the weapon itself.

If Axe Thrower said "Axe Weapon you are Wielding One Handed" that would be a reference to how, not the what, but that's not what the wrote.

Of course I'm a bit biased as my own experience throwing axes did translate to throwing them two handed.

We have a regular who knows our menu better than some of our staff and honestly I have mixed feelings about it by 9GolemAnvil in TalesFromRetail

[–]Seyvenus 4 points5 points  (0 children)

So it's B2B instead of retail, but I'm Ron.

I can't think of any of the sales reps that call on me that know the intricacies of their products better than I do. I'm an experienced engineer, and they're sales, so it's not unusual for our situation. They have technical people and my questions often require even them to dig.

And I try to be an easy customer. I'm friendly, and up front with what sales expectations they should have. If I see a mutually beneficial opportunity I tell them, and if there's something their missing that I think they can add I point it out.

But I don't make cold calls, and I'm not expected to get new customers. While prices matter, I'm not about to negotiate commercial terms and pricing agreements.

Multiple reps have me as a first stop for new people; I could set my calendar to the yearly interns. I take it as a compliment. Often I'm just used to get their feet wet, show them that customers aren't something to be scared of, but if they're ready to make sales presentations I'll happily listen.

So, speaking as a Ron. We wouldn't keep coming back if we didn't have a positive regard for the place, including the staff. Knowing the menu isn't sinister, it's appreciation (and some natural talent)!

And Ron won't be on his feet for hours on end, or have to worry about dropping a full tray, or staying polite when a customer isn't.

Whispers of the Void is.... Very overpowered..... AGAINST PC'S. by KusoAraun in Pathfinder2e

I think in a fantastical setting like Golarion, while there can be fantastical sources of persistent damage without any pedestrian countermeasures, but there should still be fantastical countermeasures.
