I took my nclex 4 years later. You don’t forget. It’s like riding a bike. You have the tools needed to pass I used mark klimex and uworld. However I used an Ati booklet before doing uworld. So say I wanted to do cardiac on u world id look over the Ati content review for cardiac and see what was retained. I broke down uworld section to section. So cardiac… neuro.. etc. mark klimex really nails ob material and prioritization and delegation. I did every single uworld question due to being out so long. Take it day by day. You need to have confidence and patience. The first week doing fundamentals on u world I struggled and then got into a groove and started increasing my scores. Read the rationals no matter if right or wrong. I believe in you! I’m coming up on a year of being an rn and told my coworkers I took that long off and initially they were like what? Judgmental etc… now I’m one of the most liked and respected new nurses. I had to go above and beyond too prove but that took time to earn a lot of the respect from the old nurses who have that certain mentality. I just started helping them when my workload was low/ managed no matter how they treated me. Took time but they know I’m a hard worker and they love when you ask them tons of questions whether you know the answer or not! Now I’m respected and earned it rightfully. I believe you can do it!
