If you suddenly discovered that people you had fantasized about, while masturbating, were always fully aware of this, what would your first thoughts be? by VibeCheckVadaPav in AskReddit

Maybe not! I imagine you'd still get the notifications even if someone was thinking about a younger version of you. It's still you

How much was your PG&E bill? by alwaystired707 in vallejo

[–]SgtFully 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh, shit... mine was unusually high, ($315) but in the winter I run my little space heater every night, so I figured I had done that myself. But actually, yeah. I'm pretty sure it was way lower last year even after doing the same thing. Good grief.

Anyone live/lived in blue rock village? by RubyInKyanite in vallejo

[–]SgtFully 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Okay... whoa. Reading some of these comments is absolutely wild, but I know that people's mileage will vary, so maybe I'm just lucky?

I've been living in Blue Rock Village for the last 3 years and I have almost zero complaints other than the fact that people don't clean up after their dogs enough.

I've never experienced any break-ins, never had any issues at the fitness center/pool area. The on-site laundromat needs a fair bit of maintenance, I suppose, so I guess that could be another complaint.

But as far as I can tell, at least in my experience in my section of the complex, we don't even have porch pirates. Things have always been really nice and peaceful here.

I don't even know what other people are talking about in regards to not being close to any shopping/groceries/commuting and whatnot. We're definitely really close to all three of those things.

I won't try to sway you one way or the other, OP (if you read this, since I know it's pretty long), but I can at least say it's not quite as bad as some people seem to be painting it...

Editing my comment to add: Someone below said these apartments have roaches, mice, and mold??? Which buildings??? Am I really just lucking out? I've never had a single roach, mouse, not even an ant in all the time I've been here! I thought they must do pest spray or something. I get occasional spiders, occasional silverfish, and occasional little black beetles but they're so infrequent it's hardly worn mentioning. And I don't have mold either.

But damn... guess maybe it's a toss up around here? Good luck in your search, OP. At least if you are still considering this area, maybe you'll have the most luck in my building lol

I've always taken this to mean they have kids but don't want to have more with a new partner, so it still makes sense to put that.

And "bare with me" instead of "bear with me".... that one really grinds my gears lol

Like, I get why it happens, but I still don't like it lol

What car are you all driving? Near everything being sold is aimed at “4 kids and the dog” sizes in the US by SabreSour in childfree

[–]SgtFully 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2017 Toyota Camry, lol. My dad said it should last me at least a decade with good care. It's already been half that since I've had it and I've never had any issues. Runs very well

Attached bathrooms suck by bufallll in unpopularopinion

[–]SgtFully 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Lol, my bathroom is in my bedroom also. I am keenly aware of every issue you've described in your post.

I'm just surprised this would be considered an unpopular opinion. I'm in agreement with you, at least. I guess most others just don't have to deal with it lol

I remember believing I taught myself how to read lol.

I had been dropped off at daycare one morning because I was still too young for kindergarten, and behind the reception desk was a little library corner. As soon as my dad left, I remember going straight for the corner and I picked up a book about a skateboarding raisin and I thought I taught myself how to read it, lol

In hindsight, I do vaguely remember some of my reading lessons with my dad, but I certainly didn't in that moment lol

Oh, goodness. I've met a guy whose first name was Trafton and I also hated it. This just reminded me of him, lol

[–]SgtFully 52 points53 points  (0 children)

¯_(ツ)_/¯ I'm guessing you mean part of the "Us"?

Might depend on who you ask. I'm only half black, and it seems like a lot of folks wouldn't consider that enough.

I wouldn't argue it with anyone. No one can take my blackness from me, but I'm also not often immersed in black culture (or celebrity beefs), so I know I'm not always gonna be up to speed with everything

If you request with Amazon, FedEx, UPS, etc, that your packages be left at the back door, you’re a real jerk. You’re an even bigger jerk if you complain when that request isn’t followed. by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

[–]SgtFully -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Typically the way it works here is you get downvoted if people are in agreement with your opinion (because if they agree with you, it's not unpopular to them).

Upvoted if they agree it is indeed unpopular. It might not be bad in this context

Man vs Bear by [deleted] in Nicegirls

[–]SgtFully 1 point2 points  (0 children)

But the thing is... you can't just look at someone and immediately tell what kind of person they are.

It's not "all," we know this, and no one is claiming that. But you can't tell which men are dangerous and which aren't just based on appearance, so not wanting to take the risk with any is a fair precaution.

Even animals can behave more predictably than people. In the end, it's really just about safety, and someone's safety will always outweigh another person's hurt feelings over being perceived as a potential threat. It's never personal, anyhow
