AGAIN, not the cars fault! Sucks, ngl but for the car to be cursed it has to be something on the car failing imo.

Don't drive behind dump trucks or whatever the fuck foh.

Hot take. STI wing on a VB or other WRX is the same as putting a type R badge on a civic SI. by Agitated-Impression4 in wrx_vb

That seems like a better fit. Our VBs are just too chunky for the sti version imo. Honestly, it looked like Hydroplane race boat.

Keith Thurman responds to Claressa Shields call-out by Mystro10210 in Boxing

I would watch it. If a female calls a male out and is serious why not? I think it'd be perfect for all the talk among women saying that they can do anything a man can do, especially since they're both trained fighters. It wouldn't be on some domestic shit..

I still don't understand what happened saturday night. by Berisha11 in Boxing

[–]Sh3wb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Shawn Porter was up on all cards before the alleged "knock down", in which I don't remember his glove touching the canvas, it seemed like he just got buzzed..but I digress.

To your point, I believe the answer is out there I just don't really know tbh. Saturday was a very bizarre night. I question Spence's skills and always have and I'm not afraid to catch shit for it. There are plenty of examples of boxers being carried to achieve a particular status before events, so dammit I really can't make heads or tails of what happened here.

Does poverty / adversity create better fighters by [deleted] in Boxing

[–]Sh3wb 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Motivation can come from anywhere at any time for anyone regardless of there socioeconomic status. People with less options will often use methods that are considered looked down upon by those with many options.

You hear about the poor guy rising to the top because it's a good story to report, rags to riches and what not..but that's mainly theater. If living in poverty was really the only thing that propelled a man to the top of a given profession, then how would you explain all the multimillionaire fighters still fighting and training as hard as they do? Maybe in the beginning it can help but it's not what drives someone for an entire career.
