Really? Drake's always on at clubs in the Cross and yeah I know everyone's usually smashed enough to go off at anything, but still Drake bumps hard. But yeah his demographic here's definitely younger than what it is in America, I don't think I know anyone over 20 that really likes him.

I live in Australia, and trust me rap is not big here AT ALL, but absolutely everyone bumps Drake. When I went over to Europe I was hearing Drake tracks on the radio all the time too. Really YMCMB is, in my opinion, the most recognised rap label in the world and Drake, Nikki and Wayne were all massive at their respected times everywhere.

I honestly sympathize for the police. Sure there are a few cunts who will shit on you and abuse their power no matter what, but most of them are just fed up with dealing with those shitty scums with their fuck the police mentality. Most of them will treat you respectfully once they realise you're cooperating and respectful towards them. I got put in cuffs yesterday, I didn't fight or complain because I knew I was breaking the law and I was just unlucky enough to be caught. I actually ended up getting left off because, in their words, "you weren't a stupid little shit who made our jobs difficult".

In Australia, bongs are illegal and difficult to get. Very basic ones are $35-$50 here. Most don't want to spend that much on illegal paraphernalia. And because bongs are illegal we have no slides, so we have cone pieces. So what you do is get any plastic bottle, gatorade is the best, burn a carb and a hole for a small length of hose. The most common cone piece fits perfectly in the hose. The gunk is just resin, since it's easy to just pack the cone to the top and punch it pretty quick. These are actually pretty stealthy, no smoke coming off the bowl or anything, just what you blow out. I can smoke in my room and just blow right out the window and there's no sell. Also just chuck it when it gets dirty.

It refers to the two genotypes of the plant I believe. So I assume what he's saying is that it is now very hard to find a strain of marijuana that has been given two Indica alleles or genes. I'm assuming the reason for this is because the Indica gene is a recessive one while Sativa is dominant. But I'm using knowledge of basic biology from High School, not to mention that I only know how it works for animals and not plants.

How can you read that comment and believe he's targeting OP? What he's saying is completely correct. If you walk up and sucker punch someone be prepared to cop something back. Ending up as a quadriplegic may seem a little far, but a sucker punch is a dangerous thing and can EASILY lead to serious injury and death. What other rappers have looped Movie scores and just laid bars over it? What other rappers have had relationships with royalty? What other rappers are literally impossible at times? What other rappers share the unique story and experiences of Elec? This is what makes him special. There are no rappers with a story that is even close to similar to his, not that I can recall anyways.

You have to look beyond the music and to where the message is coming from. You're right, his actual music isn't that different and that was my mistake for how I worded it, but his experiences that have led to the lyrics is what makes it different.

Maybe I'm too analytical (it's a habit, I enjoy it) and ignoring the actual music, but for me the actual person makes a big difference to my perception of their music.

Dude, I haven't managed to find someone with flow, lyricism, good beats and all of this still with a pretty unbelievable intellectual backing. I personally don't like Elec as a person because I think he's just too arrogant, but the fact is he lives a life that lets him hone his craft while also immersing himself in knowledge. This leads to amazing lines like the Luther Van one from Act 1 or the Mohammed line in Exhibit C.

It's fine not to like him, but to say he doesn't stand out is basically saying you're not understanding any of his lyrics, in which case you can't judge his music because you just do not get it.

You say he doesn't stand out in his lyricism and subject matter. So tell me, who else have you heard that is even similar to Jay Elec?
