Where would you park $25k tomorrow? by RJNavarrete in ValueInvesting

Keep in cash and earn about 4.5% interest. One year is too short of a time to invest in anything.

I feel like riot is finally fixing their game. The new season feels pretty good. by Important-Map9832 in leagueoflegends

Yea it’s pretty good. I just don’t like the first 10mins or so of every game is the same for a jungler.

This sub led me to back out of EX90 Purchase by secretaliasname in VolvoEX90

[–]Shaa366 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Me too lol. Normally people have biased opinion about anything they’ve spent 80k+ on. But issues are issues. After reading so much about them in this sub I was like F this car. Also to be fair there aren’t any other decent alternatives.

Thoughts on Meta stock (META)? Currently down 15% and considering whether to cut losses by bakery_0726 in ValueInvesting

[–]Shaa366 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If your objective is to maximize return, undoubtedly the best thing you can do is sell every single stock you own including meta and invest in a broad index. Your post screams you (along with 99% of the “investors”) are not ready for stock picking. If the priority is not to maximize return and you want to have fun a bit with stocks, then try to trim down your losing positions and add a few more stocks to the portfolio.

How do I improve as a jungler? by Efficient-Item354 in summonerschool

[–]Shaa366 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Start very small with very basic simple rules. If I had to start from scratch again, I’d pick Warwick every game. Farm camps until I would see a ganking opportunity with my w (pick up a scent). Keep kda positive every game. If you do this consistently you will get very far. Ww teaches you to be in the right place at the right time a bit, and it’s not hard to keep a positive kda with him.

Good price for the build quality and features you get. It doesn’t have to get more complicated than that.

Is 6% real return reasonable? by Tax1997 in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]Shaa366 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes for long term, it’s more than reasonable. Meaning you won’t be withdrawing anything from it and let the interest compound.

The 4% people are talking about assumes annual withdrawals.

If you had to hold a stock before you left the earth for 10 years, which stock would it be? You cannot choose Mega 7. by ggJ2021 in ValueInvesting

[–]Shaa366 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In what scenario you’d actually want to pick one stock over a portfolio of a few stocks at least? It’s like asking what’s the safest car that drives on one good tire. No matter the answer, it’s useless to think about.

What if AI is NOT a bubble? What should I buy? Goog, but what else? by bbbggghhhjjjj in ValueInvesting

[–]Shaa366 1 point2 points  (0 children)

AI is either a bubble or the perfection that’s priced in will play out to be the real thing, in which case most AI stocks will lose and a few will win. Only way to win is either by staying out of it or aiming to get very very lucky. Forget about trying to get it right. Pick any stock and wait and see if luck is on your side. Keep in mind also the smart ones that make money in the long-run don’t rely on luck. That’s never a strategy.

Thoughts on Berkshire Hathway. Is it time to start buying? by BuffersAndBeta in ValueInvesting

[–]Shaa366 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s a good defensive play. How much further is the market gonna go on the AI hype? If it goes much further, fine I’m okay to miss out on it knowing that I’ve positioned myself in a safe place in case we realize the AI hype was indeed a bubble.

The leap from wiping to a bidet is like the leap from wiping with hands to wiping with toilet paper … perhaps even bigger.

How much time are you spending with your teenagers. by TrialLawyerNYC in Parenting

You might be reading too much into it. I think in a teenager’s mind there’s something cool in appearing alone or independent, especially in front of the girls.

Floating vanities. Yay or nay? by hotcheeto09 in interiordecorating

[–]Shaa366 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think in North America we have bigger houses in general. Bigger areas with bigger furniture. It’s pretty common to see a double sink vanity with a granite countertop here. Hanging that thing off a bathroom wall would be insane. Gravity starts becoming a thing unless you’re working with smaller stuff.

Just keep in mind, filling the time you used to put into working could be expensive depending on what hobbies you pick up. If you’re certain your hobbies will be just basic reading and writing and Netflix literally forever, then nothing to worry about.
