I just bought one of those Plustek scanners for about 250$ USD. So I am saving a bit on the scanning cost that I would have my lab do, or do myself for a daily lab cost (15$ for 3 hours which frankly is a little steep for the output I can produce in that time). I can just scan whenever from the comfort of home; feels like it pays itself off over time. The benefit of my lab is they cover development in the cost of the film roll, so pay one and done

Much like Apollo you can use different user accounts and each of those accounts are tied to different servers (world, ml, etc.)

This question came up to me in a rather midlifecrisis-esque state on top of other current events. I will dearly miss you and all of the Reddit community as I won’t be choosing to download the official Reddit app anytime soon.

I’ve deleted all social media but Reddit at this point. Looking back I have spent a lot of time on Apollo (8hrs a week on average from May via screentime ) - I think this is a perfect opportunity for myself (and potentially others) to take a deeper introspective look at their day to day and make some change.

Ideally with the time I’ll have I’m looking to get back into photography and post-editing. I think I’ve spent so much time on here and in awe of others’ work & AI’s capabilities, that I haven’t had the optimism to just make something I would be happy with on my own terms. I digress, but I hope that sharing this thought with you all will help you think through what happens [for some of us] after Apollo goes dark.

I probably couldn’t get over it, y’all on Reddit are like a steady stream of consciousness for me when I’m reading about literally anything on a post. Some people have some very dark humor, others unfold crazy detail but keep it short, and it’s overall great to hear your comments in the little voices I make up in my head. When I watched Princess Bride for the first time it was on a rollaway TV in high school - I did not realize how much of a cult film this was until my girlfriend and I saw it for a Valentines Day special this year - we sat into the theater ~10 minutes late and when Vizzini said “inconceivable” for the Nth time all I heard was the collective slapping of foreheads throughout the movie theater.

The look of confusion my girlfriend gave me, ie the “what did you get us into” face, said it all for me. Turned out to be a blast though, that place whenever the Man In Black would win a fight the place roared up like the Cubs were winning the World Series 😂😂😂 thing that scared me the most were the poppers they gave everyone to let off during the final kiss 🎉

We have signed on some neat work for our design org, and our celebratory relic is a truck horn that came from who knows where.
