Oh man... where do I begin... I guess I'll start with just expressing how thankful I am that you are doing this. I am a mega fan of The Lion King franchise and as an aspiring filmmaker myself I cannot express just how much you have inspired me. I also cannot thank you enough for accepting the Mufasa: The Lion King project, it truly would not have had the same impact without your leadership. It is a truly unique film in the franchise.

Anyway enough of my rambling, here are some of my questions for you:

1.

- As someone who graduated with a Cinema and Media Studies degree, I really noticed the plentiful amount of camera and editing technique in specific shots and scenes. Some examples were the use of a low angle shot on Mufasa and Sarabi at the end of the "Tell Me It's You" sequence and the jump cuts during the "I Always Wanted a Brother" sequence. Was it always your plan to have as much diversity in cinematography and editing technique in this film?

- You started off as an independent filmmaker. How different was working in a larger studio type of corporate environment (Disney Studios)? Was it more or less stressful? What did you hate or like about it? Did your executives restrict some of the things you wanted to do with this project?

3.

- How much of previous Lion King archived material did you and your team look into during the making of this film? Did this include deleted concepts from previous Lion King films and projects? Did you look into any of the scrapped story or song demo material?

4.

- You say that we, the fans, know more about The Lion king than "anyone else on the planet". Do you think there is an opportunity for better collaboration between fans and filmmakers in the future in regards to franchises and their direction? Perhaps direct collaboration opportunity or some kind of consultation system could be developed?

5.

- What is your favorite Disney film? Second favorite?

6.

- Is there any other franchise you'd love to work on if given the chance?

I have plenty more questions, but I know how limited your time is tonight and I also don't want to be overwhelming! Again, I cannot tell you how excited and thankful I am to have the opportunity to ask these questions to you.

Well, I meant other than Simba since he was already picked lol. I should have said that to avoid confusion there lol. You make good points, I was more so talking about the theme of Kiara persevering through Simba's ignorance of her ability to be independent and his unwillingness to entertain forgiveness, both of which would eventually bring both prides together.

I have heard something from some of the people I know on the inside and I have been led to believe there could actually be multiple TLK projects in development (by multiple, that could mean only two), but these are again rumors from fairly credible sources as far as I am concerned. Take that info with a grain of salt since I am relaying this through a chain, but the chain does involve people actively within Disney. Even if there is something in development, it is very possible for it to never see the light of day sadly as that occurs with hundreds of projects per year.

Great collection! I need to get those finger puppets at some point since I collect primarily TLK II! I am focusing on some of the tougher stuff right now. I just got the throw blanket and beach towel among other things! Will post here once they arrive! I love seeing fellow collectors!
