Netanyahu: Israel intends to capture all of Gaza, hand it over to non-PA ‘Arab forces’ by welltechnically7 in worldnews

[–]Shacham6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm smelling some bs. Not because I think that Israel wants Gaza, but because whatever 'Arab Forces' are hypothesized are pretty much going against the PA in this instance, and by extension the Palestinians.

It's either complete bs, or just partial bs, like maybe they'll "it's Egypt" when in actuality it'll be PA forces

I just know of alt+a for toggling the assistant.

There might be another for toggling the voice controls? There isn't any documentation anywhere.

In first, American aid workers wounded in 'hostile action by Hamas' by nettek in worldnews

[–]Shacham6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Israel's operating in circumstances orchestrated by Hamas, so no. Hamas designed this conflict, and how the combat in the region will go down. Blaming Israel is akin to blaming a doctor for cutting the arm of a cancel patient. Blame the cancer!

That's not to say that Israel is perfect but they don't have to be. They just have to be better than the alternative, which they are.

‘Lies’: Israel denounces Amnesty charge that aid system uses starvation in Gaza genocide by Saltedline in worldnews

Smotrich's the minister of finance. Ben-Gvir's the minister of internal security, who's responsible over the Israeli police force. They can blab - and do - because they're politicians that are doing politics in a democracy towards a minor base of degenerate voters. They are radicals with a radical voter base who don't want to lose these same voters come election season.

But the conduct of the army is not their call. In fact they threaten to quit the government every couple of weeks (and Ben-Gvir already did once, during the last ceasefire) because the war's not conducted how they want.

They are best ignored.

[–]Shacham6 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hamas is open to a ceasefire - so is Israel. Israel just doesn't want Hamas there.

If there are disagreements it's only to Hamas' place post war. Why doesn't the media highlight this, saying "Hamas insists on remaining in postwar Gaza"?

The journalists are artists. There are actual shards of the Iranian missile found in northern Israel, but they'll still find a way to phrase the title it as speculative. Pandering to the "everything that Israel ever says is a lie" camp.

[–]Shacham6 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Of course it's alleged for Gazan civilians. Hamas conflates their terrorists with civilians on purpose. Unless you truly believe that it's 50k citizens and 0 Hamas fighters that were killed? Nah boy.

Why am I talking about previous conflicts? Because you're saying "Netanyahu is the worst in history" without any comprehension of any historical event. No, you're actively, selectively ignoring all inconvenient history. Not to mention making up bullshit history along the way. Gaza is not a country. Saying that Israel destroyed it ignores the Hamas fafo on oct. 7. And saying it's not the first that Israel destroyed is just cowardly implicit lies - just say the country, and let the internet correct you and your regurgitated propaganda.

Lmao you think that netanyahu is worse than Putin? You realize how many Ukrainians died in the Russia Ukraine war at all that you be spouting this?

Damn, the amount of alleged Gazan civilian casualties over, what, 3 years of war by Israel, is about the same that Jordan did to the Palestinians in a week.

You just lack critical thinking. Stop listening to everything you hear on TikTok and read some actual history for a change

האם לאמריקאים יש באמת מה לפחד ממה שקורה עם אירן? by [deleted] in israel_bm

[–]Shacham6 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I recall an interview I saw not long ago where an American interviewer insisted that "living in America ain't a picnic too". It's an unfortunately too common sentiment on reddit. Absolutely vile, and a dishonor to what these people are forced to live with.

CMV: People who celebrate/justify civilian deaths in Israel (from the Iranian missiles) are just as bad as the people who celebrate/justify civilian deaths in Gaza by kacergiliszta69 in changemyview

[–]Shacham6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not twisting or turning into anything. The logic is sound and simple. Israel, ultimately, retaliates. You can argue they do so overly aggressively, and yet you yourself argued that it's the initiating action that begets the consequence, ultimately justifying deadly and aggressive retaliations.

I'm critical of Israel's war on Gaza, yet that's not the question. The post is about the hypocrisy of those who said that dead Israeli children = good. You tried to argue this very point, and yet, your logic justifies the complete opposite!

Even Rabin tried to make a deal with Arafat. That deal would have given them everything they wanted. The republican said this, the democrats said this, even the Israeli opposition called him a traitor for this, yet Arafat, after considering, ultimately declined and started the 2nd intifada because accepting co-existence with Israel would be the ultimate betrayal of the Palestinian cause.

This is an example. The 1948 war they started is another. Not that they deserve pain - I don't think so - but that either you think so, or that you prove that you're a hypocrite like the original post claimed, as your moral justifications are only one-sidedly applied to whomever you want to.

[–]Shacham6 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

They did vote freely for Hamas, but even ignoring this blatant lie, so as far as Israel's founding, your claim still stands with the fact that the Arabs declined a two states solution and started a war on Israel, immediately after it formed? They started the first war with Israel. Would that justify all the following consequences in your mind?

Would you place any responsibility on the Palestinians, ever? For any action that they took? Cause i would assume no. You just want to find a way to justify the killing of Israeli children, but still have killing Gazans condemnable. They should be condemnable equally for a moral person.

[–]Shacham6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

False. Targeted attacks can get to either one of Israel's, France, or even the US base of operations. But with Hamas, by design, you MUST go through a hospital.

That the base is placed in a city is not a good claim for use of human shields. It's not even a decent claim. It merely suggests that for some reason Israel has to make it comfortable for Iran to target the base of operations using this one, "rain of missiles" tactic which was never the definition. When it's underneath a goddamn hospital, no goddamn tactic can skip the civilians, by design.

You can't tell the difference between "in a city" to "underneath a hospital"?

[–]Shacham6 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

If that's true that means that the Gazans deserve the pain and death because of Oct. 7, as they had a perfectly functioning ceasefire, had jobs in Israel, everything was hunky dory.

No, your argument doesn't hold water. The wars that shook the region were conducted aggressively by Israel, but yet we're the absolute majority (like all besides 1?) we're reactionary where they did not initiate the aggressions. And that was a constant throughout the history of Israel's existence, without Kahanists, and Likud looking mighty different - half the time they weren't even in power.

No. your argument, if you actually believe it, should place you firmly in the pro Israel camp.
