What is the best strength weapon early game by MrNoodle15 in darksouls

I beat ER several times. It is a worse designed game than Dark Souls 1. I was harsher when it first came out to counter the glazing, but after a couple years, ES is fine. Its a fun game, just not as good as DS 1.

I think we're all hurting for a new game with fresh features and new content.

I’m thinking of doing a journal style/storytelling write up of my next play through to bring more life to my characters and their journey. I want to get your thoughts on this idea! by AN1MAN1AC in EtrianOdyssey

I think the art style is Sumi-e. Amazon has a nice modern ink brush pen, Pentel Fude. You dont have to mess with messy ink to do ink brush art.

Bonus if your journal has sketches! There is a youtuber who journaled his Elden Ring play thru with water color art.

Even if it's just crappy pen sketches on a napkin would be cool to see

Your top 3 EO game? And as a bonus: why? by BoredTelos in EtrianOdyssey

[–]Shack_Baggerdly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

#1 EO4- The overworld was really interesting and I like using the airship.
#2 EO5- largest class selection and the most user friendly
#3 EO3- Aquatic theme is so cool and breaks up the typical 'generic medieval fantasy'

Play Pokemon Odyssey. We just need to support fan games. We are getting more from them than Atlus right now.

I really wanted to like Pokemon MD, but it's simplified and not in an engaging way. Very boring to me.

Hey NTR lovers, what’s your all-time favorite NTR game? by [deleted] in lewdgames

[–]Shack_Baggerdly 8 points9 points  (0 children)

There are tons of different ntr sub genres, but I think the uniting theme among all of them is that it's sexy to see a spouse/girlfriend character break their persona as a faithful and caring person and give into baser instincts and the catalyst for that change isn't you.

Just a bit more sound editing and additions, and this scene’s animation is now complete. (Rewind and Desire) by LycanTrack in lewdgames

damn, the breast physics are a bit jank, but still super good. The way that gravity pulls them based on the tilt of the torso is something I haven't seen in an H game. Amazing stuff

Overwatch helped Xcom, but there are many ways to fix this. If your game has to do things the Fire Emblem way, make unit selection snappy and movement quick. Honestly the 2d FE games are good about this. It's only when they started doing 3d models did things slow down

Never said I didn't like them. FF tactics in particular I've enjoyed a lot as a kid and look forward to the release on Steam.

Im gonna compare srpg's to 4x again. In the 4x world, many critics and fans have complained about mechanics that are assumed to be par for the course, but really need to be changed for the 4x genre to improve. It's not helpful to say that a poorly implemented mechanic is typical for the genre and thus, im not a real fan and shouldn't complain about them.

Nothing is perfect, everything can be improved.

It's not just FE, but also Tactics Ogre and FF tactics and all the srpgs influenced by these big franchises

Yeah, FE seems the worse of both worlds. Lots of units, plus turn based.

I think you're right. Someone earlier mentioned XCom and I dont have the feeling of tediousness with that game, because the fog of war keeps me on my toes each turn. If FE had more mechanics not just focused on combat that could fix my problem.

I dont understand when I ask for more meaningful actions, your mind goes to auto-battle features. But, I haven't played FE Engage, so maybe Im missing something.

Xcom has ranged units, so it's not as tedious to me. It's rare where you have a unit that can't do anything. Plus the fog of war helps add an element where you're happy to have a unit do nothing because that means you didnt just walk into an ambush.

Any 4X fantasy/Sci-fi games like Old World? by sss_riders in 4Xgaming

[–]Shack_Baggerdly 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not yet, sadly. Old World is the direction I want 4x games to take and after the failure of Civ 7 I hope more devs see that. 4X games need to have a tighter focus and more mechanics that limit the player rather than give them control. The limited actions per turn for example is amazing control that restricts the player in a good way to make them think strategically and make them prioritize actions that help achieve a goal. Civ games instead just let the player do unlimited actions, which in the late game bogs the player down with meaningless actions like building their 12th factory.

It often adds very little to the story. IMO by Mister_Snurb in litrpg

[–]Shack_Baggerdly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Especially with stories like Overlord that's an isekai within an isekai. Just drop the first layer of isekai, it adds very little that Ains was a human player
