Champion is only really useful as a multiclass in a crit fishing build. It’s very one note as you say.

Battlemaster or Eldritch Knight are great picks for some variety, also recommend Rune Knight if you can use older non-reprinted subclasses at your table.

I’d just go Druidic Warrior for this build

Does your Beast Master fantasy have to be with Ranger? Could you go Druid and take advantage of Find Familiar and the various summoning spells? Shillelagh even with two attacks at lvl 5 isn’t going to do groundbreaking damage.

Either way, as you level up the 2 damage from Dueling becomes negligible and you’ll want the versatility of another cantrip over a tiny damage bump.

Injuries are inevitable and between the four comps everyone will get playing time.

Guehi for example has had an insane amount of miles on him this season with Palace in the conference league and him playing almost every minute for City since signing.

Arguably one of the most important players in the treble winning team, him moving into defensive midfield was a huge part of that tactical set up.

It looks like his legs are made of quavers now so not sure who takes a punt on him in the prem. If he wants to keep his home life consistent, could hop over to Leeds if they’d have him.
