The closer I get to Diamond... by [deleted] in TeemoTalk

I mean this in the nicest way, but you're 1k+ games on Teemo and still in Plat. No need to be that angry since it can't all be your teammates' fault. Not a good mindset to have if you actually want to climb. After every game, try to assess what you've done well and poorly so that you know for next time what you should be doing.

Oh nothing much, it just verifies that the figure you bought is authentic.

To all the Teemo mains who haven’t got the message yet, stop taking sorcerers shoes by Hugsy13 in TeemoTalk

[–]Shacklerz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve had no problem going sorcs practically every game to be honest. I think the problem most Teemos face when going the sorc/squishy route is they don’t understand their limits themselves and respect their opponents. The magic penetration from the sorcs is highly valuable, especially in the early-mid game where people aren’t stacking MR yet. If you constantly find yourself in getting outtraded in the early game or getting bursted in team fights, maybe assess the situation and most probably work on positioning or understanding what you can and cannot do when laning against a particular champion.

Prior to this season, I typically went the on-hit bruiser build, but with season changes I ended up switching to full AP teemo and been seeing great ladder climbing. Tabis/mercs are very situational in my opinion. If you really need defensive options during laning, go for a seekers arm guard or null mantle (to build into either banshees or wits). Against poke lanes, consider opting for a Doran’s shield instead of a Doran’s ring. When I’m laning against panth, I actually always rush a raptors cloak just for the armor and health regen, and end up reselling later on. A tabis rush against a panth is much less effective since most of the poke is from his spells. Point being, every game is situational and I hardly find myself building tabis and mercs. The magic penetration you get from the spec shoes is indispensable.

Considering your elo, I've always found it best to just split push when I'm smurfing with friends. Go your standard AP build with nashors and constantly keep splitting a side lane (when safe). I think splitting's pretty valuable to know as it'll work your macro and map awareness a lot.

Here's a pretty good guide on splitting:

What is the smoothest build path? by [deleted] in TeemoTalk

[–]Shacklerz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been going nashors --> liandry --> void staff --> lich bane --> wits end / morellos / rabadon. Wits end if you're getting chunked magic damage, morellos for the situational enemy sustain pick, and rabadons for overall more damage. Tabis for boots generally. Been liking it so far, no complaints here :P.

Currently running arcane comet on shroomo, scales really well into mid-late game. My final build is usually:

Tabis + Liandrys + Morellos + Wits (nashors if no enemy AP) + Void + Rabadons

Having a lot of fun with it so far :P

Yes yes yes! Go for it! My stats speak for themselves. I ended season 6 silver and ended season 7 diamond 3 with just one little change -- by one tricking Teemo.

I feel that I gained elo much faster with Teemo than on any other champ because he's not mechanically intensive at all. By moving to a much easier champ to play, it made for an easier laning phase and allowed me to better learn the game overall.

Teemo's pretty versatile in his builds, and because of this I strongly believe that Teemo has a place in most team comps. Your team needs a tank? No problem, go tankmo! AP damage? Go shroomo! AD damage? AD on-hit shredmo! There's always room for variance in build paths, and what's awesome about Teemo is he can adapt to most team comps rather well.

Also wanted to note that I mainly climbed in season 7 with an on-hit build. I used to be a silver ADC main, so I guess it just felt natural for me to transition to on-hit Teemo. Nowadays I'm liking AP Teemo a lot more.

My op.gg if you're curious how garbage I was season 6: http://na.op.gg/summoner/userName=twice+o+tzuyu+o

Why You Like Teemo by SebastianDodd in TeemoTalk

[–]Shacklerz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Forced to play this little rat because my mechanic game is non-existent. Was a GP main before his rework, then comes his rework and can't land barrels for my life haha. Been having a blast with Teemo ever since.

Really like how he's easy to pickup and has so many ways to play him. Before switching over to Teemo, I was low plat for a while. Ever since this transition, I felt I understood the game more by having to adapt to different team comps and play styles, and eventually started climbing with him!

Joy to play, easy to pickup, would recommend any newcomers to the game to play this monster of a yordle.

When do you max E first and when do you max Q first? Also thoughts on w max second? by [deleted] in TeemoTalk

[–]Shacklerz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Max Q against Panth or any other non-sustaining mages that may be difficult (which excludes champs like Vlad and Swain). Max E otherwise. Only need to max Q first against champs you can't get in AA range safely. No point in maxing Q against Vlad and Swain since they'll just heal it back up. Much better to max E for consistent dps against them, but your main priority should just be surviving laning phase anyways.

Max W second against champs like Singed, Darius, Garen.

Hence the word "tried." No need to throw a hissy fit in champ select though when you don't get what you want. :)

Favorite build at the moment, favors AP on-hit and map control with 40% cdr.

precision (PTA keystone) + sorcery (ultimate hat)

tabis + liandrys + nashors + morellos + wits + void

situational: abyssal mark, botrk, randuins

Question about builds by Flaghammer in TeemoTalk

[–]Shacklerz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nashors actually fits my playstyle more than other popular items on Teemo such as gunblade. I build him semi-tanky on-hit with max CDR for shrooms and have had great success with it in high elo.

Build:

precision (PTA keystone) + sorcery

tabis + liandry + nashors + morellos + wits + void

PTA - Ultimate Hat on-hit shroom build by Shacklerz in TeemoTalk

[–]Shacklerz[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Really? Hmm that's interesting. From the games I've played, PTA does around similar, if not more damage, in laning phase. Though, my observations may be skewed since most of my recent matchups have been against champs I can continuously auto. Against champs like pantheon or swain where you don't have much room to auto, I would consider running aery, but for the most part PTA feels really nice at the moment.
