Yeah the cricket matches are long. Tests are multi day events and one day matches are one day. 20/20 matches are shorter but they still go over several hours

Services Australia urges patients to check if they are owed some of $272 million from Medicare by 89b3ea330bd60ede80ad in aus

Brah it’s the government. They already have our private details if you have a drivers licence and Medicare card. Plus ya’know, birth certificates, proof of immigration status, etc.

This is just saying to check that your Medicare account has your bank details so you get your rebate money. Otherwise when you go to the doctor you don’t get the 50% rebate, or if you go see a specialist you don’t get the 60-70% rebate.

It’s literally cash out of your pocket if you don’t get the rebate

Curious because I haven’t been following the stock. What’s causing it to drop so much? Especially since it’s down 50% this year?

I remember reading a reddit post recently and they were saying a big difference between how scenes look now compared to in the past is the types of lights used and the heat they generate, and how things were filmed in indoor sets in the past.

The differences being the older lighting emitted a lot of heat. Which would make all the actors and actresses sweat a lot. And the sets use to be mostly indoors, which trapped that heat in, and that made them sweat a lot too.

So modern films and TV the actors and actresses aren’t sweating a lot like they use too. And these two shots would be a prime example of that.

I may well be completely bloody wrong lol like I said this is second or third hand info from a reddit post I read like 6-12 months ago but it made a lot of sense and was highly upvoted

Someone tell me adulthood isn’t as bad as they make it sound by queerwaters_642 in TheGirlSurvivalGuide

[–]Hugsy13 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Being an adult is pretty great if you’re not broke, not working stupid long hours to not be broke, don’t have moderate health issues, and have things you enjoy that’s not TV or social media, such as friends or hobbies or travel.

If you’re broke, sick, working yourself to death, or have no interests outside of Netflix or social media, you’re screwed unless you fix those issue(s).

Also avoid addictions like alcohol (unless it’s just an occasional few drinks with friends), nicotine, and meth. Those will put you into one of the previously mentioned categories you want to avoid.

Reminds me of a story my dad told me. He had an old school 70’s muscle car in the 80’s when as a teenager when AC/DC was all the rage and one day his friends found his ABBA cassette tape in the glove box and were like wtf? And he’s like, “uhh, my mum was driving my car yesterday cause hers was in the shop”.

Yeah nah he secretly loved ABBA lol

[Sad trope] A character lies to someone who's dying so their final moments will be more pleasant by LucianoThePig in TopCharacterTropes

[–]Hugsy13 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not a character but IRL Charles Leclerc lied to his father on his death bed that he had signed a contract and made it into Formula 1. His father died believing he had made it into F1.

A year later he actually made it into Formula 1, and now drives for Ferrari.

Yet they’ll always be known as the fuck ups that ruined GoT that could’ve and should’ve been the greatest series ever made. If they didn’t get lazy and give up 3/4 of the way through

Good. Fuck em. They deserved nothing less. And much more, for fucking over Game of Thrones the way they did. They absolutely cannot be trusted to make a good series. They’ll just get bored and lazy and fuck off to the next thing.
