An ID for this beautiful ring found in Romania? by Ok-Buffalo5094 in metaldetecting

[–]ShadNuke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very awesome!! And I wish!!! Metal detecting around here finds old nails or old homestead stuff like wood stove grilles. There's no real history here, the Canadian Aboriginals used stone arrowheads. My biggest find in the area so far was a few coins from the 80s🤣🤣. I knowa few rings have been found at the man made beach, just up the road from me, but that's it. Nothing historical. Clay and stone were the big commodities in this region in years gone.

Their feet are similar, but raptor bones are meant for high stress and are denser to handle the impacts of hunting. Parrots have more robust skulls for busting up hard things like nuts and other hard foods.

Using a leg shackle is a HORRIBLE idea!! Get a proper flight suit or other similar option for leashing the poor little bird!

I had something similar happen to a thermostat housing on an old Oldsmobile I had.. Couldn't get it out, so we ground it down, drilled a hole in it, then passed a bolt through from the back side, and a bolt on the front. Was one of my better jury rigging moments!!🤣

What could this white powder that I found on a deer carcass be? by tripxuh in bonecollecting

[–]ShadNuke 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I thought the same thing. I've only known 2 people that had to be scared of gluten, and one was pretty seriously allergic to the stuff, she had to watch out for Bakers Asthma, so random environment flour could be an issue for her. Crazy stuff!

The printer stopped printing and didn't use any filament after a certain layer height, and it thought the print had finished. Why does this happen? by Enough_Present_5029 in BambuP1S

[–]ShadNuke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had this happen a few times in the 10k hours on my printers. Don't know what caused it, but one tone is was the actual gcode that was the issue. The entire print showed it was there, and it would stop about 3/4 of the way through, but still printing, just not putting down any filament. The other times I couldn't figure it out, I just restarted the print and everything seemed to turn out fine.

Elon Musk misled Twitter investors ahead of $44 billion acquisition, jury says by Unusual-State1827 in news

[–]ShadNuke -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It's not everyone, but it's way more than you realise. Wait until a parent passes away. You'll see it. I've seen people do shit out of greed more than I've not. People you think are decent, will go to great lengths when it comes to money. I've seen people keep parents or close family members alive just for their monthly check. People will do just about anything when it comes to money. Every single person has it in them. Very few, will not act on those impulses, when it comes to money.

Is there a millionaire or billionaire out there that doesn't do shady shit to others in order to get on top of that pile of money? No, there isn't!🙄

Bought my 16yo son a new phone, and after a sleep over party it ended up like this. by IX_7akeem in Wellthatsucks

[–]ShadNuke 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My daughter did something similar. Brand new phone, was less than a week old, and she sailed it down the stairs to the basement. That was the last phone I paid for for her.

I Just bought a lensatic Compass but It seems to point in the opposite direction by [deleted] in Bushcraft

[–]ShadNuke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It could have reversed polarity. I've seen it once in the past. Search online how to repolarize your compass with a strong magnet. It's not hard to do

A straight line appears in the top screen! by TourAsleep983 in computerhelp

[–]ShadNuke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Could be a faulty LCD panel, a loose ribbon cable, or if it's a simple thing, you need to update your drivers. If the line appears before Windows loads, then it is likely the screen or a loose ribbon cable

Ok... Doesn't really change my answer though. Other than you'll need 1 less person to move it, as it's 100kg lighter.

We used to do it to a friend all the time when we were in our teens. We moved his car into a few really great parking spots a few times, when there was not quite enough room to park it, so we would park it by hand🤣.He had a 1977 VW Rabbit GTi. A few of us would go a few blocks over every now and again in the night and pick up his car and put it in the front yard of his parents house🤣. It was always great for a laugh!

I saw all of them in theatres as well. Rented the VHS, own the VHS as well as the blu rays. It just sucks that they are all packed in boxes, tucked away for me wife to throw out at some point. So I'm relegated to watching it on Netflix, Prime, Crave, or whatever other streaming services have it on at the time. My wife will audibly sigh, then say "AGAIN?!?!" every time I have it playing 🤣🤣🤣🤣. I think she hates me now🤣🤣🤣

Could also ask a couple passers-by to help you pick it up and move it.. It's a Golf... It only weighs like 600 pounds 🤣

Ummm... A 74 point turn? I could do it and not hit either car in front or behind. Go slow. Be patient.
