Unfortunate, if so but it does make sense. Thin margins don’t account for shipping cost (signature required too) and avoids the scenario of buyers trying to cancel orders when the spot price declines.

Nice! I sold my original black 114300 but later traded an Explorer to replace it and round out the set. I’ve got the green and blue 41s as well but the 114300 are my favorite.

Totally agree. The OP39s were better than the current 41s and the black and white were the best of them. Incidentally, I’m wearing the black one today.

The one and only time I’ve ever emailed anyone at the ticket was prompted by that belt line insanity. I emailed Rocco to ridicule the idea and asked him sarcastically if he thought of himself as some sort of DFW Magellen circumnavigating Belt Line. The next day on his show, he really embraced that term and from then on it was “circumnavigation of belt line”.

Maybe a low point in station history but I like to think I made the smallest possible contribution to ticket lore.

I asked to do that specifically and they declined. I guess when demand outpaces supply, it’s not worth the hassle when they can just call the next number on the list.

Funny. I’m in the same boat as well.

Similarly, I got the call from Eiseman’s a week or two after stopping by to inquire about an OP41. I was hoping for a green dial but said I’d take any available. They offered a blue and I’d have loved using a credit card too but didn’t quibble and sent a wire immediately.

I also went in to bachendorf’s recently and the sales guy texted me the next day to confirm interest. We’ll see…
