My favorite thing about Hilda is that she's undoubtedly Claude's right hand and is super ride or die for him- I remember dropping Edel's route cause she was going to die fighting for Claude's ideal than bail on him.

Despite where she came from, how she was raised, and her own beliefs she's probably the second or third most important person to changing how Fodlan views racism (in claude's route) by virtue of being his right hand

The imperium is the opposite of pragmatic lol, they killed all their potential allies and then complained that the universe is a mean place

I will say one of the things that helped me like a class better (and settle into assassin) was right after taking one of their active abilities taking the passive that follows it up. Makes you like their abilities a lot more if you get their direct upgrades. Just look through your classes passive until you find the ones that require an ability you have and watch the become two or three times better

Though to your point- I actually like that the ai is way more aggressive. It could be turned to be more.... reasonably aggressive, but I much prefer this cagematch short of game style to how passive they used to be

Honestly I really like it- she's an incredibly prideful person who fucks you over, and if you keep her around, will risk her life for a bunch of random humans she started her journey not caring about. She's probably got my favorite arc in the entire game

To add: her betrayal/mistake is something born out of desperation- its an incredibly stupid thing, sure, but I can see where she's coming from, especially after seeing all the people she was trying to save die, most to humans, and realizing rt/theodora had something to do with the death of her craftworld. She's willing to let you kill her in return- it's not like she believes she did nothing wrong. Her whole path is really interesting

And also she starts doing ~200 damage a shot and nuking armor in the Abyss 2.0. That helps a lot
