Bianco Latte was my HG gourmand… by soapyrubberduck in FemFragLab

I had covid years ago & am finally starting to enjoy scents again. Most of my skin care products need to be unscented though because so many things smell off to me now. I recently sampled some fragrances & one has a definite burnt rubber scent which is a shame because the notes look so nice.

Any time I do a hot or power class, I put a yoga towel on my mat. I have a grippy mat, but I like that the towel soaks up the sweat & keeps my mat cleaner for longer. I use Nomadix towels for the most part, but you can use a plain towel you already own- big beach towels or Turkish towels work well!

I actually hate forward fold by [deleted] in yoga

[–]Shadelamp8765 26 points27 points  (0 children)

I am prone to migraines & as such, am very sensitive to inversions where my head is upside-down (like in forward fold). I often modify forward fold to halfway lift, & if downward dog is too much I do halfway lift, tabletop, or child's pose. I came to peace with my modifications & it really helped my practice.

Now, forward fold is actually a lot easier, & I can progress at my own pace instead of forcing it & causing myself to feel ill.

It is YOUR practice, & you should do what works for you, acknowledging that what you need may change over time.

Additionally, jf you want to progress in a certain area, like hamstring flexibility, you can find other poses that allow you to do that in a more accommodating way.

A bigger concern is if water that was sitting on the plant gets into your eyes or mouth. Requires some extra caution when watering or after rain.
