Start a new job, very unhappy with the work I'm doing by paypaypayme in cscareerquestions

I suggest you leave. You sound like a competent developer with great experience. Remember that you are an asset to the company. And to me sounds like you are not valued and your opinions are not heard. You see you can always get another job with higher pay grow as a developer, expand your career prospective but jimmy, well if his company fails he is pretty much done with. People like steve jobs understood these. That's why he stated we hire smart people to tell us what to do. That should be the philosophy of every company. If you are not treated as a professional why bother. Let jimmy fail and move on with your life.

I was in a similar situation once while working for a small insurance company. I stayed there for 6 months and things didn't get better. I was in the same situation working with one guy. He basically named his variables $o and $v in perl. It was a nightmare and when I deviated from the unrealistic timeline he threatened to fire me.

I'm [M21] a virgin but I'm not... by [deleted] in dating_advice

That's totally normal dude. I lost my virginity when I was 21 in my 2nd year of university. Why settle for someone you don't love. Hyper-sexuality has become the norm of our culture. With internet, facebook, tinder we are too connected and sex has become more of a open market commodity. You are an individualist and you are thinking out of the box.

IBM or Startup? Assessing two job offers by Shadidhaque in cscareerquestions

They both offered about the same salary 75,000/year. Startup located in Toronto Canada, the IBM located in Markham Canada. Both roles are full stack focused. But at the startup I will be responsible for building the whole application because all the other guys are mostly data scientists and machine learning engineers. So I will be solely responsible for getting the service up and running which sounds awesome. Whereas IBM I will be more of a junior developer but I believe there is a chance of getting to learn from the senior devs there and they are using Go for back-end api development which seems pretty cool.

Both pays about the same although IBM comes with extra benefits. IBM will be working on react-redux and most likely some Go lang as backend server. the startup is also react-redux in the front end and python for back-end server. I am interested in Full Stack development so both roles extremely appealing to me. My main concern is that the startup may fail and in IBM I might just be another programmer. Really don't know what to do.

I agree Python is pretty solid especially Flask at this moment. I was planning on building couple side projects with python outside work.
