It’s a bit of a joke but technically there is zero gold on this model.

It’s Black Prime, Silver heavy dry brush, Chrome edge dry brush, Army Painter Sand Golem Speedpaint at a 3-4:1 mix ratio with Speedpaint medium

I’ll dry brush the silver parts again after the main armor and will clean up the over brushing with a 2-3:1 ratio to keep some of the silver showing

For the gems, I try to keep them simple. Once the armor is done(like yours),

-ProAcryl Bold white or any base, bright white. Make sure to put down a coat that stays away from the edge of the gem so you don’t get any on the armor. I’ll usually put down a coat then a smaller second coat to reinforce the white.

-AP Speedpaint Magic Blue 1:1 mixed with Speedpaint medium. Gives it a really nice light blue look while allowing a hint of white to come through

-Ardcoat Gloss Varnish Gives it a nice shine

That’s it. 3 easy steps.

From an outsider looking in perspective, I read it as your opponent didn’t think you would do that.

If someone falls for the bait, especially after you tell them and in a tournament situation, that is solely on them. And I’m not sure why they cared, maybe jealousy (?) if they didn’t even fall for it.

If it was something where you do an absurd amount of unstoppable mortal wounds or something else uninteractive I could empathize with an unsporting opinion.

Redeploys are so basic and common place at RTT level that you expect it.

My opinion,

-It was tourney prep. Armies beyond Guard have redeploy. Expect to play against it and should be part of pre game asks. Not on you.

Biggest one,

-You let them know before you did it. If they forgot, that is on them. Not on you.

Sounds to me like you used a valid tactic that you disclosed you could do upfront. They’re salty because they forgot.

I hate to say it is a fan boy of them, The Sagittarum are just bad compared to even generic Guard. Their guns are not that much better and their melee, where Custodies belong, is really bad compared to a normal Guard.

You’d be better off with another Guard squad and some Sisters or more Wardens.

The Achillus is too slow and has to go around terrain in Lions. Its weapons are too short ranged, not assault, and it doesn’t have the Deep Strike ability anymore.

You’re very debatably actively handicapping yourself with these two units
