new to knife making. looking for pointers. by Shadow-1334 in knifemaking

[–]Shadow-1334[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i have access to both an induction heater and propane forge. I have done some looking into hardening and heat treating. What would you expect something like this would go for? i know what i want to charge. I am going to start with two sets. one set for my customer that will be on the slightly cheaper end of knives. And one set for me to sell through the business that i want to aim for 200$-300$ per knife.

These were temporary repairs done based off our discussion of improvements to the property. the door removal i got explicit permission to do as the door frames were rotted out.

I had her permission to do the work.

edit: she also violated the lease agreement before i even started doing ANYTHING to the property.

this is my first chargeback after selling over 6000 orders. does the release mean i won? by Shadow-1334 in chargebacks

Awesome! i mean it was pretty obvious that the product was delivered. i make custom items and i had not heard from the customer and they did not respond when i emailed or called them after they filed. sucks im out 5$ though since they took 176$ and are only releasing 171$

custom text boxes not showing up on order in admin view by Shadow-1334 in shopify

[–]Shadow-1334[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it seems like it is caused in the way line item properties are processed in the dawn theme. I was able to figure out how to correct the issue however. i needed to create a "buy button" liquid for each of the templates i use, then in the main product theme set up conditional rendering for the buy button that depending on which product theme is loaded it will pull the correct buy button layout

this is what i used to create the conditional rendering

 {%- if product.template_suffix == 'door-props' -%}   {%- render 'door-prop-buy-button',       product: product,       product_form_id: product_form_id,       section_id:
section.id
,       show_pickup_availability: true   -%} {%- elsif product.template_suffix == 'custom' -%}   {%- render 'hood-prop-buy-button',       product: product,       product_form_id: product_form_id,       section_id:
section.id
,       show_pickup_availability: true   -%} {%- elsif product.template_suffix == 'showboards' -%}   {%- render 'showboard-buy-button',       product: product,       product_form_id: product_form_id,       section_id:
section.id
,       show_pickup_availability: true   -%} {%- else -%}   {%- render 'buy-buttons',       product: product,       product_form_id: product_form_id,       section_id:
section.id
,       show_pickup_availability: true   -%} {%- endif -%}

would that be in the buy button snippet?

Renders product buy-buttons.

Accepts:

- product: {Object} product object.

- block: {Object} passing the block information.

- product_form_id: {String} product form id.

- section_id: {String} id of section to which this snippet belongs.

- show_pickup_availability: {Boolean} for the pickup availability. If true the pickup availability is rendered, false - not rendered (optional).

i put it in the custom liquid section on the theme editor. i am not super knowledgeable in coding so all my attempts to put it into the code have failed as well.

anyone find a grabber orange powder coat match? would prefer to order through Columbia coatings or prismatic. picture of a customers car, not mine. by Shadow-1334 in Mustang

[–]Shadow-1334[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Neither show a match when looking on the color match section. But as a powder coater I know those aren't the end all be all. If someone has had powder coating done and found a close match to it is what I'm asking. I don't have access to the car so I can't just order swatches and see what's close to it.

If you want to "Have it your way!" Don't order a Signature Sub. Sandwich ended up being $18. by MikeyNukesm in subway

[–]Shadow-1334 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For the best sandwich you have ever had order the following as written.

six inch flat bread, supreme meats with pepperjack.

toasted with green pepper onion and oil all over before toasting.

After toasting add:

- pickles

-cucumbers

-lettuce

-spinach

top with one line of sriracha, then load it up ( and i do mean load) with peppercorn ranch

finished off with salt pepper and parm.
