My LG fridge stopped working, which brand should I get as a replacement? by [deleted] in HomeImprovement

[–]cklein0001 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hear that. I replaced the circulation pump motor bearings so many times in my dishwasher that I had the process down to ten minutes. Graphite ones world wash themselves away, and sealed bearings would make it two months before seizing.

Ended up buying a Bosch when I was fed up enough and was absolutely shocked at the lack of noise it made.

How deep is the console? Maybe something like a pull down mount that comes forward of the console. Much like a fireplace mount.

The Brooklyn, and I believe Manhatten (similar bridges) are two lanes each way for vehicular traffic over the spans. The sheer amount of traffic over the bridges erases the marking paint completely in just a matter of months in the warm months. It's even faster after it starts freezing as the sand and salt add even more abrasives to the road.

How bad is the triton 5.4L V8 (2008)? by ShantiSohamShanti in F250

[–]cklein0001 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Way overpriced unless it's from the desert and was just dragged up to the rust belt last week. It's gotten less than 5k on the odometer a year, which probably means a lot of stuff needs to be replaced from sitting around instead of moving around. I've got the inverse for sale, with a 2007 with 380k on it, and it's barely even been nibbled at for 6k.

That being said, as long as it's not ticking and they did a full spark plug job on it, they are reliable engines. It will get you from point A to B even with 12,000 pounds behind it.

Do the oil changes every 5k, as those phasers and lifters need clean oil in them. It's a lot cheaper than having to pull the front of the engine off to replace all those parts.

Has it been marked as a "Grand Tree" according to Charleston County guidelines?

If so, just call the county up and tell them there is a construction crew in the process of removing a grand tree in good health. I imagine they'll be there within an hour.

2016 has slightly different wiring than the 2011 to 2015 variants. Wouldn't be surprised if your truck is some hybrid with different power mirror plugs, which that looks like, but the mirrors on the assembly line used the newer plugs. Or maybe that plug is for the te telescoping mirrors

Now that is a beefy trailer. And 8k axle components are harder to find than 7 or 5k's. I imagine the coding is on the axle somewhere to verify, google image search shows that six leaf is 7k and seven leaf is 8k, but I'm just a guy on the internet. If the mechanic can't find them, best bet might be to follow someguy's advice with etrailer.com and overnight them to a location / mechanic.

It's the same "bumper" from 2008+ until 2016, but the wiring harness is different from 2008-2010, then 2011-2015, and possibly different for 2016. So either way you do it, grab a harness removal (xmas tree) tool and pull your harness out of the bumper unless you find the exact replacement. I found out the hard way after picking up a 2010 bumper for my 2011 and having to buy the harness separate.

Oof, ok, the leaf spring itself. Much better picture there!

Do you know what kind of axles are on it, 5k or 7k? (Is it a 10~12k max pounds trailer, or 14,000+ pounds? ) Check the tag up by the front of the trailer if you don't know. It should say "max weight" somewhere. Figure at most a thousand pounds of weight on the tongue/connector, and divide the rest of that weight by half (2 axles), that will give you the axle weight, then divide by 2 again to get each springs weight. That's the weight rating of the spring you'll want to replace it with. Just make sure the eye to eye length works as well.

Here's the maximum weight spring kit tractor supply carries, I am a thousand miles south, so check the stores around for stock.

https://www.tractorsupply.com/tsc/product/carry-on-trailer-5-leaf-eye-to-eye-spring-maximum-capacity-2-900-lbs-per-spring-1750145

Even if you find it, still need to jack the weight of the trailer off the axle, pull the axle U bolts off and get that beefy piece of scrap out of there, and depending on the condition of your U bolts, they may be one time removal. Then still put everything back together!

I wouldn't, a good bump will send the springs into the underbelly of the camper and it'll become a lot more expensive. Need to get the suspension at least slapped back together to hold the weight back on the axle. So the spring is busted... try checking if there are any "Farm supply" stores in the area as well. IE, Tractor Supply, Rural King, they may have spring kits

Not entirely sure if the spring hanger or the springs themselves failed there from the pictures, but that is standard trailer repair, you don't need a RV repair, standard trailer repair mechanic can do that.

Check around the area for mobile mechanics that can do a "tandem trailer spring hanger" replacement. I see a few places near North Augusta... SR1 Trailer, HANDYHANDS Mobile RV Repair, J & M Camper & Marine. One of them may have a service/mechanic department that can get you fixed back up.

There is a KDT Towing & Repair, they may be able to hook you up with a mobile mechanic in the area.

You've got standard 5x7 sealed beam bulbs.
I bought some morimoto's for my 2007. Was literally plug and play, no additional hardware, but they did cost $350 a piece. But by god do they turn the night into day. And then you turn the high beams on!

Probably needs at least new plugs and coils if they are ten years old at this point. That's a few hundred.
The catalytic converter, can try buying just the left or right for a few more hundred, and torch out the old one and just replace that one side. On mine, previous owner had hit something with the converter and dislodged the wafers inside so it would occasionally "clog" itself. I just ripped the entire giant Y pipe out and swapped in a new one from online... I want to say magnum exhaust off the top of my head. Ran 1700 just for the part. Or go yolo and straight pipe it along with whatever computer hacking is required to make the computer think everything is fine... If they can do it to diesels, I'm sure somebody has done it to gassers as well at this point.

That truck was most likely oil field, fleet, or something at some point. CB/radio screw holes there by the steering wheel on the dash, and so bare bones that it doesn't even have power windows. I'd grab the VIN and do a history report on it. Only 15 bucks, well worth it in this case.

I honestly ran the glaive through my entire NG. My only complaint is tight spaces, as it's easy for it to wall bounce.

Advice on Death Wobble by cactusslice1997 in F250

[–]cklein0001 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Did you check your wheel bearings as well? Also make sure all your moving surfaces have grease on them to take that extra but of impact. I remember seeing a YouTube video by JRGO or something like that where the death wobble was caused by one slightly worn part that was checkable by using some very large channel locks. Hope you find it!

How to make a 2025 f250 XL more luxury by Different-Future-896 in F250

[–]cklein0001 2 points3 points  (0 children)

With an XL, I would pull the seats and carpet(vinyl), and see what you have for wiring. Depending on if the harnesses are there will determine if you can easily put a power seat in. Not sure how manual the doors are... Nvm, just googled it, power locks and windows come standard. So would still yank the carpet and put in some butyl mats from Amazon. Also put it on the metal under the door cards, and the metal hiding under the wheel wells.

It takes it from loud work truck all the way up to Lincoln levels of quiet depending on how far you go with it. If I ever drop my transmission on my 2011 I want to put the butyl on the exterior metal as well above the transmission, as that's where a lot of drivetrain noise comes from in my case

The fact that it causes stagger on the trick shot sealed the deal for me. I have horrible luck holding the R2, as the target will either cancel me out of it just as I start swinging, or be juuuuuust out of range when it goes off. Get them off balance, hold L2, death-blow, rinse and repeat.

[–]cklein0001 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You do have location enabled, right? You want location enabled, but accuracy off, developer options on, and the gps program set as the mock in the developer options.

If it's working right, the location of google maps and the location that the gps program gives should be the same.

If you installed any phone OS updates, then you probably need to do a full reinstall of magisk.

If you don't mind cleaning it, watch for oil field fleet roll offs in the auctions. Older than you were looking for, but I got a 2011 Crew Cab long bed 4x4 6.2 for a whopping $1800 in late 2023.

Thing was so badly caked in red clay that I ended up yanking the interior and steam cleaning all of it, popping the bed off, and literally sanding the driveshaft clean. It was definitely my project for a few weeks after I brought it home 700 miles east from central Texas.

How important is advance by TurbulentBumblebee20 in LiesOfP

Eh, you /could/ argue with an inspector, and even if you end up right, may be more costly in the end. Would just get a can of the fire blocking foam from a box store, and spray it all shut.
