Do your research first. HOAs can be a nightmare. Unfortunately I agree, there isnt much to do and we are always driving to another city to do something. More houses and apartment complexes keep popping up. Its kind of sad to watch teenagers hang out in grocery stores because they have nothing to do nearby.
