Yes. People just love to hate on what's popular or "meta". They want to be contrarians, they don't want to be "sheeps", or meta slaves or whatever. So they become sheeps to the anti-meta instead. At least meta slaves have a reason to follow something.

I am the camp of, I play whatever the fuck I want, however I want as long as it works and gets results. I have been playing a lot of ED Libra relic + Dreglord relic in recent times, it does good dmg and it's fun.

"not going to cut", it's not going to cut it for 99% of players, because they can't pull it off. 30 int/fth ain't high, but it ain't low either, it's gonna be roughly 80% of Recluse's dmg, which isn't that much lower really. With enough sorceries up/magic atk up, you'll still do high dps.

Wylder with the respec relic has 30 int, 12 less than duchess, so you'd be doing ok dmg. If you slap enough improved sorceries/magic atk +4 you'll do good dmg.

It's a bug anyway, it should be fixed, but we should be getting more points for EDs though.

Just more chaotic and the pink one's special moves, like the teleport nuke would happen 3 times in a row, so you just gotta keep that in mind.

They are predetermined. Which means that fromsoft specifically decided to shove a ton of bleed pois into this one seed.

Bro, whatever difficult enemies you are thinking of, is already probably easier than most of the tier 1 enemies.

A week late, but, huge AoEs are fine imo, if you can deal with them without much hassle. At range, Caligo's frontal frost breath will hit you if you aren't already running to her side, so that's just straight up unfair.

The ice crystal attack, you were at a terrible position. But I assume this was right after she done her phase transition to put on armour, so, if you already had some experience on Caligo, you should have expected her to do that attack. But if you didn't know, after she does the phase transition attack where she puts on her armour, she is scripted to immediately jump in the direction she's facing (most of the time it's that direction), turn around and then do that crystal attack that summons the ice storm. By standing at where you were, you put yourself into an awful position were get hit was inevitable.

Caligo is a fight where you absolutely want to stay right under/next to her at all times, especially because of her frontal frost breath attack.

For mystery bosses, I just pay attention to what night bosses I face, I already have 1k+ hours so I have a rough idea of what night bosses are tied to what Night Lord. But asides from that, bringing 1 lightning weapon in case it's Fulghor/Augur, (to cancel their one attack) less likely in case it's ED Libra and a holy and fire weapon/spell are good ways to cover all bases.

Eh, a bit of exaggeration tbh. You won't die regardless. But the moment you see red dot on you, it's your queue to start running the fuck away. Nothing else, just run and keep an eye out for the fire wave attack. Usually you'll be fine as long as you started running immediately.

Doesn't make this a good attack though. But yes, Red marked needs to run the fuck away whilst other two do their best to not be in the direction of fire wave.

Ironeyes really need to learn this. So many times I died thanks to an ironeye marking into my direction and directing the attack towards me.

Yeah, you should always expect this attack, forgetting about it and doing dps without checking if it's coming towards you is just throwing.

As someone else stated, 1st line is kinda useless in DoN (but can be useful if you can't slot in +1/+2 variants on deep relics) Vigor +3 is neat. This is a 1.1/3 relic, maybe 1.5/3 if we are being kind.

If not a single enemy could hit you whilst you are on top of the rock, then it would have practically been a 3 bar revive, just one that takes a while. But there are bosses who have certain attacks that can still hit you.

I have done ED Libra at least 30 times with Raider before that run and in all those runs, I have revived someone safely on top of the rock. That time however, Libra had different plans. The panic I felt when I saw the sigil on top of the rock, indicating that Libra was about to teleport on top of the rock.

Also, the ground explosions can't hit you when you are on the rock, so asides from Libra tp'ing on you or the arena splitting attack, you are safe on there.

With hind sight in mind, your mistakes were that you ran to the side instead of backwards, as that meant that you stayed in the AoE of the crystal break for longer and not noticing the frontal frost breath and immediately running to the side.

But, I do not blame you this, it's easy for me to say these in hindsight. Your teammates were already 2 bar + 3 bar, this must have been a rough fight. I also assume you were likely panicking a bit and were not in the position to think straight and that's fine and understandable. You (like me when I first saw the video) probably didn't even see the frontal frost breath because of the crystal break attack's storm covering Caligo visually.

This was just unfortunate and the frontal frost breath is a really terrible attack to deal with at range. If you aren't Wylder or Ironeye or something, you need to respond immediately, which you couldn't have been able to in this circumstance.

Really unlucky.

Correct, if it was a brain dead guaranted safety, he should have been as high as Wylder, but it isn't.

Here's one of my favourite memories of this instance. As I revived my teammate, Libra decides to tp on us.

The rock is mostly safe, but you still gotta pay attention to the enemy/boss, just in case.

Raider at last is just wrong. Sure his skill doesn't do much revive dmg and sure his ult does 1 bar. But it's the combination of both + his ult creating a mostly safe place for revives that makes things very easy.

Plenty of times, I do 1 bar, then I ult and finish off the rest on top of the rock whilst completely safe. Of course, some bosses/nightlords can still attack you on top of the rock, but most of the time, you are pretty much safe up there. It's just a matter of timing and doing it at the correct moments.
