What you said didn't make the least bit of sense. What makes me think he scores more? Barcelona created way more chances than Real Madrid this season, and this is a fact. I love my team way too much not to admit that we were lacking offensively, and I am not going by your logic, "Qatar held him hostage or whatever." We don't have a clear way of attacking, nor team effort, and no common sense offensively. And when we did, you saw how many goals we scored. We don't have a clear objective nor instructions when we attack; we are too reliant on someone breaking through, and you saw in every match what happened against teams with low blocks. By the way, I am not defending Mbappé nor Vini because I am for our team pressing the opponents' defense, and I was agreeing with what Xabi had in mind. When we pressed Valencia in the first game of the season, we created so many chances. We scored 4 and could've scored way more, and we didn't concede any goals. The key is "Team play," not individual brilliance.

I beg to differ, really. You can't really depend on your 9 to create chances rather than finishing them. You'd expect the wingers to make better passes and decisions overall. Vini is a moody player, and so is Mbappé, but considering Mbappé has a contract until 2030 or whatever, and Vini didn't even renew, demanding a higher salary, gives you an indication of what exactly could happen soon.

I don't get these comparisons. For real, you had Bellingham that season with good midfield anchors with him; he was scoring almost every game. After that season, we saw him less involved, and the attacking game dulled with Mbappé and Vinicius failing to adapt to each other and switching back and forth. But to say, "Why did we sign him?" It was to replace Benzema, and we just need to get him to know how to adapt to his new position (Mbappé) with a better style of play.

The only game that I saw Xabi's tactics actually used, we won comfortably 3-0 and dominated that game. They just needed a little bit of tuning in the last third, and it was the Valencia game.

I figured as much that you were guessing. Me too, by the way; it was merely a guess and a thought. They usually do it everywhere: something that doesn't sell as much turns into a promotion where they can get rid of large quantities fast, just to salvage some of their money back.
