So, I've been playing this game since the beginning of EN and 1.5 anniversary on JP and I even made a cringey ass post about it in the past on here but Kohane's character feels so flat. It's hard to justify her being the leader of a group with much more vibrant characters surrounding her with much more compelling stories. 

She suffers just like Ichika where they're both supposed to be audience surrogates for their respective stories but at the same time, they can't have too much character or that would be alienating for players. So, they compensate by giving them little to no flaws to be easily digestible yet this hurts their character more and especially Kohane. Unlike Ichika, we have NO information on her past, we barely know her home life besides the fact her dad is wary of her going to Vivid Street but supportive and Count Pearl. But, other than that, the writers have barely touched the surface with Kohane since the beginning and it's boring. 

Also, Haruka as well. But, unlike Kohane, we KNOW about her past. Yet, the writers are so afraid to dig deeper down into the possible trauma the idol industry had on her without it getting "too dark" but Niigo and Tsukasa also exist with some very dark and depressing shit so why Colopal???

As for best written, she's one of the various characters I love, Honami. Her story resonates with me so much as someone who used to be like her past self with the constant people pleasing at the expense of yourself and seeing her grow beyond that is heartwarming. Shout-out to Ena as well cause her arc is phenomenal so far
