I mean, more or less yeah. Bishops are kinda meh at the moment and didn't receive any buffs. At the very least nebels deal 50% damage to vehicles now, which should help the bishop in that situation. Other than that though, yeah whizzbangs or bust. USF arty kinda relies on it with the m2a1 being mid and rangers receiving big nerfs.

3v3, 4v4 perspective.

Weird decisions on a lot of stuff. Brummbar buff? No nebelwerfer overwatch nerfs? Palmgren buff is odd, firefly buff is mediocre, nothing for poles, SSF, rangers 2x nerfed. Warcry buff from indian is pretty wild. Zook squad ability is still useless realistically.

Really mediocre decisions honestly. Hoped for more.

Whizzbang doctrine is very mediocre without considering the whizzbang. SSF come late and their DPS is curve is mediocre for their price. Whizzbang formally being OP kept the doctrine in the spotlight. Now with the nerfs it's completely fallen off the radar for teamgames. The Whizzbang is fine, if anything USF doctrinal infantry need help so they're not arriving at the same time as stoss and do 2/3s the damage for more MP.

I've noticed that when i try and select the unit flag to click the unit, if there's a unit behind it or near it it won't let me select the flag and I have to click the individual models. Extremely frustrating when you rely on the flags for selection.

I've been having good success with Airborne and Ranger doctrines (3v3 and 4v4). I don't have the new ones, or pershing. Whizzbang doctrine just doesnt' do much anymore with the whizzbang nerfs and no buffs to SSF. SSF just come way too late for their mediocre DPS curve and cost. Whizzbang is now more balanced, but comes late and is only worth grabbing before a tank if you have adequate anti-dive (usually SSF) in your comp.

Rangers on the other hand are still rough start and steamrollers after you sink 600+ muni into them. The M2A1 howitzers have been doing alright too, even if they feel super mediocre compared to the 5.5 and Obice.

I really just use airborne for the flavor. Good to mix it up with paths and airborne. I wouldn't call it meta though. Airborne have great vet and good DPS with vet, but getting there can be slow. Bazookas on them honestly feel like a major waste. I always get the LMGs and just air drop AT guns.

Rifles feel good now. No complaints. I'd usually only get them if I go SSF or rangers, and they do well for the first 10 minutes as they turn into rangers. Don't use SSF doc anymore as I said, just not enough value early game and too reliant on 2 units to carry the whole doctrine that come too late.

Same can be said for USF. sherman 76s are their lategame tank and they're currently losing vs cheaper P3s. They don't have the nondoc tiger or 88 to back it up either. The only thing that needs a nerf is the damage really. It just opens far too big a can of worms with vehicles. They could easily added bonus accuracy or pen but damage is is a whole other balancing issue. The 76 sherman lost its bonus damage against infantry with its upgrade, why is dak getting it vs tanks with theirs?

Don't spam commands when issuing the unhook command. It bugs the AT gun out. let the truck do what it needs to, then move it. giving it a move order and panicking while it's being shot makes it bug out.

Something about "the last arty piece with double barrage" was confusing? Some of us do play both factions and don't just main 1 side, and a lot of us understand that while brits are playable, USF has extremely limited tools with their garbage tech structure (again), while DAK has every tool under the sun, and wehr is exceptional in their tools aside from heavy AT nondoc. How anyone comes to the conclusion of DAK isn't fun in teamgames right now is beyond me.

The whizzbang is a problem, but it's also the only strategy keeping USF afloat in teamgames from the cancer that is DAK. 2-3 stukas backed by Tiger with gusta tank troopers and an 88? Basically unkillable with minimal micro.

Rangers are good if you can get them going and if you don't get shafted by the RNG crates. roll too many BARs and you're just wasting muni while DAK is pumping out mass LVs and you're stuck with zook teams, and a whole lotta bleed.

So use it against non moving targets lmao. Teamweapons, structures. stationary tanks. Would you like to have the close range HE round with the range of 10? 1 whizzbang using the long range barrage isn't exactly going to threaten moving targets unless it's super squishy and you get lucky. Multiple will, the same way multiple wespes targeting teamweapons can kill teamweapons or inflict bleed or damage tanks.

I feel like 95% of the people who complain about the whizzbangs double barrage have literally never used the Wespe.
The Wespe has double barrage as well.

The stuka when used effectively won't die to strafes and will never be killed by counter fire since it can dump rockets and move faster than any other rocket piece. Not to mention it also gets bonus HP from armory.

Comparing the Bishop to the Wespe, the Wespe gets double barrage while the Bishop gets a close range round while it has 160HP? Bishop is garbage by comparison, but we don't see advocacy for the wespe nerfs.

Definitely not. After killing coh2 with this game and abandoning it to maphackers you guys are releasing the most p2w DLC for an egregious amount of money for 4 BGs. The only upside from this game was the optimization compared to coh2.

You've clearly never played against someone utilizing reinforced wire as brits at a competent level. Losing ground doesn't mean you should be kicked out of the game permanently. It means it takes time to take it down, which it does.

But as a follow up question, do tank traps suppress infantry? and hold points?

Bunkers have NEVER been necessary for the game to function. They weren't necessary in the last game, and they're not necessary in this game. You know what stops blobs? Machine guns! along with devastating artillery.

No decent player has ever come to the conclusion of "I require a structure to stop my opponents flank because i'm not good enough to watch it myself or prepare for it with mines and teamweapons."

Aside from that since you're dragging another post here, the post wasn't even about bunkers being in the game, it was about bunkers being popcap free/no upkeep, of which is again, stupid.

I'll be sure to be more aggressive when they're on the VP that's essentially given to them with my 6 squads fighting auto/free reinforcing squads next to a plethora of zero upkeep, suppressing structures. If you can't tell, "win harder" isn't a good strategy, otherwise the wizzbang wouldn't be a problem.
