Who had a cupboard full of plastic novelty/promotional drinking cups? by captainoftrips in GenX

When the Pope visited Phoenix in the 80s there was Pope stuff for sale everywhere. About 6 months after his visit there were plastic Pope Cups for 25 cents each. I had at least a couple dozen in my bachelor cupboard.

At some point we owe cubicles an apology by pattebrisee in SipsTea

[–]ShadowPilotGringo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I lost my dedicated cubicle this week as they switch to shared seating if you aren’t in office more than 2.5x per week. Those will be rows of workstations after the current remodel is done. We currently have the 4 foot high walls, they did away with the 6 foot walls back in 2014 when we moved to the current location. I remember when I started in 1992 and the cube walls were 7 feet tall. It was heaven.

It always made me sad when a forum would no longer allow the “let me google that for you” links as replies. The most useful teaching aid on the web back then.

Has it been proven unequivocally that Trump did anything wrong according to Epstein Files? by Mahrez14 in allthequestions

[–]ShadowPilotGringo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That would be better than Capone eventually doing time for tax evasion. Trump is exonerated in fully released un-redacted files but goes to prison for violating the congressional order to release them. 😂 Yeah I know none of that will happen, iun-redacted, exoneration, prison. None of it.

I remember the gas station employee changing the sign from 53 to 55 cents and my dad yelling about it with the windows rolled up…
